“Always bet on the underdog. They’ve got ambition and nothing to lose.” — Clint Borgen
Grady Bynum, 6’2
Position – Shooting Guard
Class – 2022
Bynum is a pure athlete. This kid dominates on the football field and court for the Opelika Bulldogs. He has a couple of football offers already, but he is more superior and stands out in basketball. There is no doubt that he could be a two-sport athlete at any college he chooses. His vertical is top in his class; he can jump out of the gym like a rocket. Grady’s 6’2 body is lean and muscular. He can bang with anybody on the floor. His basketball IQ is efficient, and his court vision is spot on. He kills when he scores off the dribble; he has a quick and confident pull up that is consistent. He’s hard to stop in a fastbreak transition because his speed with the ball in transition and decision making is decisive—one of the key players on this Bulldogs team.
Ja’keith Carr

Carr

Opelika | 2023
State
AL
, 5’9
Position – Point Guard
Class – 2023
I call him “crafty” Carr because his creativity with his scoring is well rounded, and his handles are substantial. He will move higher up in the ranking after a year or two because he’s a straight dawg on the court. His intensity and passion for the game are on another level. Carr has a mid-range jumper that he uses consistently. His ability to make one move and get to the basket is explosive. The rising star is the Opelika Bulldogs leader, and he is one the youngest on the varsity team. I believe he should be higher in the rankings; he scores like he’s 6’6. Plays with zero fear.
Jayvontay Conner, 6’3
Position – PF
Class – 2023
Conner is a two-sport athlete as well for the Opelika Bulldogs bringing athleticism everywhere. His body length stretches out long, and his defensive game is what separates him from others. Conner’s wingspan allows him to block an opponent’s shot that comes in the inside, and he is good at getting his hand on the ball for multiple steals. You can put Conner on any top player in the state and would step up to defend them without a doubt with confidence. He plays forward, but he is a real wing who can score off the dribble quickly. Conner will bring you speed to your fast-break, which means he will run the floor all day without the ball and give your ball handler options. His vertical allows him to jump out of the gym. Conner is just a pure athlete that can play on the next level and give you everything he got. He plays hard and physical; he will bring excitement to the floor.
