We are here for all of it as we hope multiple players have breakout seasons. Here is a small list of players that seemed primed to have themselves a season to remember.
6’3 G Bodi Nageli Bodi Nageli 6'3" | CG Herriman | 2021 State UT (Herriman)
Bodi had a solid year last season, but this year will be very different as he will be the one that possibly leads the team in scoring as he can do it all and will have to do it all for Herriman. He has some good composure but he plays with a lot of passion. He has a nice looking three-point shot and a solid mid-range as well. He is one of those Jack of all trades type players. With some good height and a strong frame he can guard some of those bigger players. With strength and bounce when he gets in the paint he knows how to finish. We see Bodi scoring 15 points easy and just being a stat stuffer across the board. With good open court vision look for Bodi rack up some assist with some of his running mates.
6’9 F/C Atticus Place Atticus Place 6'10" | C American Leadership Academy Queen Creek | 2022 AZ (Hunter)
While not getting much run on varsity last season Atticus is ready to contribute not only because of his length and height but because he has developed more skill that will help him be successful at the varsity level. He is not the quickest player on the floor but he is threat with the skills he does have. Atticus is a great trail 5 that can hit that trail jumper. His has a big body and when he holds down his screens he is effective in the mid-range with some pick n’ pop ability. Atticus is a good rebounder that can make some great outlet passes. Look for Atticus to make an impact as a junior for Hunter.
6’8 SF Jaxon Heiden Jaxon Heiden 6'9" | PF Alta | 2022 State UT (Alta)
While Jaxon might not be the front court player most teams will focus on he will often times be the beneficiary of his teammate getting double or the reasons teams try and go zone. Jaxon has a good all-around game that is often not seen because he is usually stuck on the blocks, but he can handle the ball a little bit and and he has a perimeter game that requires players to come out and guard. Look for Jaxon to get some open court dunks and lobs as there could be a fun dynamic going big to big on campus at Alta.
6’3 PG Parker Christensen Parker Christensen 6'4" | PG Skyridge | 2021 State UT (Skyridge)
Parker is a tough guard that had to wait his turn behind a Division 1 PG but it’s his turn and he is nice. The most impressive aspect of his game is his defense that will turn into offense and will allow Skyridge to continue to play uptempo. Look for parker to rack up major assist as he will have a knockdown shooter to find. He will pick up fullcourt and just bully other guards. Look for Parker to really have a breakout year on both ends of the floor. Excited to see him play this season.
6’4 CG Ben Krystowiak Ben Krystowiak 6'4" | CG Brighton | 2021 State UT (Olympus)
Ben had a solid year last year but he has more in the tank and he will surely show it. Look for him to hit 45+ three-pointers next season and flirt with some triple doubles on a nightly basis. Ben is a solid 2021 prospect that could land on a high level roster. Great IQ and ability to create his own shot. Works well in the pick n’ roll as a scorer in the paint or pull up. Ben is an excellent passer that is unselfish. Look for him to put it in another gear.
