Rodney Johnson Rodney Johnson 6'5" | PF Bryan | 2021 State TX Jr. 6’5 2021 Wing Bryan High School
Rodney is an athletic freak, I had the pleasure of watching him up close this summer where he seamed like a man amongst boys. He is a highly skilled wing who dominates in the paint and loves to punish defenders with his strength. During the first five games for Bryan, he has put up twenty per game while averaging eight rebounds. He has all the tools to be a dominant player on both ends of the floor, which he does on a regular basis! He loves coming over as a second defender to throw shots into the stands and even displayed an ability to shoot off the dribble.
Jimel Cofer Jimel Cofer 6'4" | CG Universal Academy | 2021 State TX 6’4 2021 Universal Academy
Cofer is an impressive point guard who loves stepping up to big moments. You may have seen Cofer throw down a monstrous dunk over two people this last week while he was at the RJ Hampton high school classic tournament. He is great at getting down hill and turning the corner on his defenders. He is aggressive and finishes with such ferocity in the paint, even against bigger competition. He is not afraid to leap with anyone so watch out! Be on the lookout for him to garner major attention over the next few months- he should have no problem at all going to the next level.
Isaac Orozco Isaac Orozco 5'11" | PG Sandra Day O'Connor | 2021 State TX 2021 Combo Guard O’Connor High School
Isaac is a highly skilled guard who can create his own shot or for his teammates. His floor awareness and ability to fire difficult and tight passes sets up his teammates for open shots in the paint and around the arc after he draws the attention of the defense. I loved his ability to play downhill in the full court, and he also showed an ability to slow it up and make the right read within a half court offense and while the defense has its back turned in transition. I would like to see him work on his set shot and shot off the bounce, something everyone needs to continue to develop!
Marcus Rigsby Marcus Rigsby 6'2" | SG Irving MacArthur | 2021 State TX 2021 6’2 Guard MacArthur High School
Marcus is a sharpshooting guard who thrives out of the triple threat and is supremely confident in his shot off a live dribble. He showed an ability to get to the paint with ease, especially when the defense began to respect his shot from the outside. His speed allows him to go coast to coast with ease and he can even create for others as he draws attention into the paint.
Noah McDavid Noah McDavid 6'5" | SG Lake Highlands | 2021 State TX 2021 6’5 Wing Lake Highland High School
Noah is a scoring machine, he is an explosive athlete who can throw it down over anyone. His leaping ability and strength allows him to finish over anyone, however he also displayed a soft touch in the midrange, and on floaters and runners in the lane. His ability to knock down shots in the midrange shows me that he can become a strong shooter off the bounce, as his mechanics are strong and he has a reliable set shot from the wings and corner.
