The event featured three excellent teams, led by host Kickapoo, one of the leading contenders in Class 5 this season. Ava was a Class 3 state quarterfinalist a year ago and Bolivar looks to have another strong team.
Here is a look at the top standout performers at Kickapoo.

Anton Brookshire Anton Brookshire 6'2" | PG Kickapoo | 2021 State #146 Nation MO 6’1 Kickapoo: The smooth Mizzou recruit makes the game look easy at times with his ability to get buckets and make plays for others. His 3-point shooting stroke is flawless and he can create his own shot at any time.
Trevon Brazile Trevon Brazile 6'8" | SF Kickapoo | 2021 State #213 Nation MO 6’8 Kickapoo: The Mizzou recruit showcased his athleticism and versatile skill set with a number of highlight-reel plays. If he wasn’t throwing down an alley-oop slam dunk in transition, he was grabbing a rebound and going coast to coast for an easy layup.
Isaac Haney Isaac Haney 6'1" | CG Kickapoo | 2021 State MO 6’1 Kickapoo: The Missouri State recruit is a big bucket-getter, but I was impressed with what he did on defense on this night. He was consistently getting into the passing lanes and creating steals.
Jace Kreuger 6’0″ Bolivar: A very solid lefty guard who did a nice job penetrating into the lane and making plays off the dribble. He could also knock down open jumpers from 3-point range. He is their main ball handler from the guard position.

Andrew Dalton Andrew Dalton 6'3" | SG Ava | 2022 State MO 6’3 Ava: The thick-bodied lefty has a great combination of strength and skill which makes him tough to defend. He can yo-yo with the ball to create his own shot, which includes the :-pointer. He will also bully-ball his way to easy buckets.
Josh Bowes 6’6″ Bolivar: A rugged young power forward who impressed me with his toughness and high motor. He enjoyed the physical play whether he was setting hard screens or boxing out for rebounds under the boards. He works hard and plays a very fearless style.

Kyle Pock Kyle Pock 6'7" | SF Bolivar | 2023 State #286 Nation MO 6’7 Bolivar: The talented combo forward displayed his all-around skill level which makes him one of the top sophomores in the state. In the first seven minutes against a very talented Kickapoo team, he was really in his bag as he hit a couple of 3-pointers, scored in the post and dropped some nice dimes. He also has a nice spin move off the bounce.
Zaide Lowery Zaide Lowery 6'4" | SG La Lumiere | 2023 #127 Nation IN 6’3 Kickapoo: An impressive young athlete with good length and the skills to match. He is comfortable with the ball in his hands to make plays as he can slash to the bucket or make a jumper. He can also use his athleticism to be a factor on defense and on the boards.
Harrison Doennig 6’6 Kickapoo: The young power forward is very mobile and plays with a lot of toughness inside. He had some very nice takes to the basket and he can also run the court and score in transition. He can score inside and pass the ball as well. He has a nice upside.
