Bryce Spiller 6’2″ University City: The talented young shooting guard scored 13 points in his first game in the Lions’ victory over Union in the first round of the Borgia Turkey Tourney. He displayed smooth shooting stroke as he knocked down four 3-pointers. He is expected to be a contributor on a very talented University City team.
Javar Galbreath 6’4″ Fulton: A very athletic forward who had 11 points in the Hornets’ 77-53 opening season victory at Warrenton. He was very active on the defensive end as he blocked a couple of shots and used his mobility to dart into the passing lanes for steals. He comes from a very talented family in Mid-Missouri. He looks to have tremendous upside.
All Wright 6’1″ Joplin: The young shooting guard scored 10 points and made a pair of 3-pointers in the Eagles’ 80-60 victory over McDonald County. He is one of the top perimeter shooters in the Class of 2024. He also has a good feel for the game and a nice court savvy to go along with his long distance shooting stroke.
James Mathew 6’3″ Chillicothe: The young forward had 10 points and five rebounds in the Hornets’ victory at Hamilton-Penney. He did a nice job operating against the zone defense where he worked the gray area and displayed a nice shooting touch from the baseline. He rebounded well and showed good fundamentals around the basket.
Cody Yates, Kingston: The young guard scored 15 points and had five steals to help lead the Cougars to a 64-58 overtime victory over Maryville. He provided a big spark for a team that was playing shorthanded during the evening.
