If Only There Was A Showcase…..
They are unfortunately not allowed to participate in any camps or showcases during the delay (despite the efforts of people like Coach Dell Johnson who had a camp set and ready to go). We looked at some players that, if there was a showcase or camp, that we would want to see play. Well, here are some more!!
Donald Davis III Donald Davis III 6'4" | SF Bendle | 2021 State MI (2021, SF, Bendle)
Davis III is just a really nice looking prospect with a lot of upside. He’s underrated as an athlete and is a pretty versatile scorer on the wing.
Lucas Doty Lucas Doty 6'4" | SG South Lyon | 2021 State MI (2021, SG, South Lyon)
Doty had a really impressive spring through fall. Honestly, he had the look of a next level player. He hawked open looks at the bucket and took advantage consistently.
Javantae Randle Javantae Randle 6'9" | PF Detroit Frederick Douglass | 2021 State MI (2021, PF, Detroit Frederick Douglass)
Randle is one the most intriguing players in the senior class. He’s known for his rim protection, but has really expanded his game offensively since high school season ended.
Dylan Cragg Dylan Cragg 6'4" | SG Grayling | 2022 State MI (2022, SG, Grayling)
Last I saw, Cragg was playing some really good basketball. He looked confident and consistent with his jumper. It’d be nice to have another showcase so he could show his game off.
Cooper Craggs Cooper Craggs 6'7" | PF Novi Catholic Central | 2022 State MI (2022, PF, Novi Catholic Central)
Craggs is a very versatile forward. He can effectively defend in the pain and on the perimeter. Offensively, he’s a tough matchup because he can bang in the post and has a nice mid range game to go with it.
Phil Ragan Iii Phil Ragan Iii 6'2" | CG University Of Detroit Jesuit And Academy | 2022 State MI (2022, CG, UD Jesuit)
Ragan III is an underrated player for UD Jesuit, who may have one of the deepest and most talented backcourts in the state. Ragan III can play on or off the ball.
Carter Diedrich Carter Diedrich 6'7" | C Ida | 2023 State MI (2023, PF, Ida)
Diedrich is drawing big eyes on a small school. College coaches, you don’t want to miss out here. Diedrich has smooth footwork, soft hands, and can run the floor.
Triston Nichols Triston Nichols 6'2" | SF De La Salle | 2023 State MI (2023, SF, De La Salle)
Nichols might have had the most impressive grassroots season in the class. He played up all summer and did more than belong. Nichols has a really high ceiling as a player.
Damarie Thompson Damarie Thompson 5'10" | PG Godwin Heights | 2023 State MI (2023, PG, Godwin Heights)
I was really impressed with Thompson’s start to the high school season last year. Pairing up with
Jakhary Towns

, they could make one of the top backcourts in the state.
