Group 1 is an intriguing section with lots of change and turnover. Defending Central Jersey Group 1 champion Burlington City has opted out of the winter season, creating a void on the top team in the sectioncr. Some of the top players in the group changed schools, including Kunga Tsering Kunga Tsering 6'6" | SF Roselle Catholic | 2022  heading for state power Roselle Catholic. Even with some of the defections, the section is still filled with good lead guard play who will make an impact at the next level. Here are the top point guards in Group 1 this season.

Tazir Cantey Tazir Cantey 6'0" | PG Eastern | 2021 State NJ , 6’0 Lindenwold 2021

Cantey may be on the move to Eastern, but his ability to score the ball in bunches makes him eligible for this list. The 6’0 guard is explosive off the bounce and knows how to finish around the basket. Cantey is more than just a driver as he has a nice release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. He is an underrated passer and plays with quick hands on the defensive end. Cantey currently holds three D2 offers, but that list should grow after a strong senior season.

Spencer Joyner Spencer Joyner 6'4" | PG Arts | 2023 State #65 Nation NJ , 6’4 Arts
