It was another early season matchup between two 6A teams that have been projected to have good seasons, when the Fort Bend Travis Tigers played host to Cy Creek Cougars. Both teams contain players that are on the D1 radar and even more players that will eventually play college ball at various levels. Normally, one would say that this would be a good litmus test for both teams, however, FB Travis was without Drew LutcherDrewLutcher6'5" | SFWylie | 2021StateTX and some of their other pivotal players that are still in football, and Cy Creek was without Braylon HaynesBraylonHaynes6'3" | GCypress Creek | 2021TX and Jaylen WysingerJaylenWysinger6'1" | CGCypress Creek | 2021StateTX. Going into the game, FB Travis would need to lean heavily on Mekhi Mcintyre (2021) and DJ Richards (2021) would be the go-to guy for Cy Creek. Let’s take a look at how things played out.
