6’9 ‘23 Baltimore Poly (MD)
Evans is a smooth lefty who excels out of the mid-post. Evans does a nice job coming off ball screens and flares. He also knows what spots he’s comfortable from on the floor and gets to them with ease. Kwame was in sync from three throughout the entire Chaffin Classic. Evans keeps his feet moving defensively and jumped screens which lead to forcing turnovers and leading to easy buckets for him in transition.
Cortez Johnson 6’7 ‘22 St. Frances (MD)
Cortez is a 2-way athlete who does whatever is needed to help win. He sets hard screens for his teammates to get good looks for them offensively. His long frame gets into passing lanes and can turn defense to offense quickly. He plays with a chip on a shoulder and is always battling. Cortez is an acrobat around the rim and gets to where he wants when going downhill and glides through traffic.
Elijah Jones 6’9 ‘22 Mt. Zion Prep (MD)
Jones who has a nose for the rim showed that he could finish in a variety of ways. Jones is a tactician on the low block. Elijah can put the ball on the floor when needed. Jones has a great motor and plays with a lot of energy on both sides of the ball. He communicates well on defense and gets to the correct spots. Elijah has shown he can hold down the fort and protect the rim and come down with boards.
Kyrese Mullen 6’7 ‘22 Massanutten Military (VA)
Mullen is a wide-body forward who is a mismatch nightmare with his ability to bang inside and his expanded game on the perimeter. Even though he missed a majority of last season with an injury Mullen didn’t miss a beat in all aspects of his game. Kyrese made a living from the three-point line at the Chaffin Classic no. Mullen has great footwork for his size and showed he can guard multiple positions and switch regularly in ball screen actions. Kyrese also showed that he has an underrated vision of the floor and a great feel for his teammates on the floor. Kyrese brings great leadership to the Massanutten team even though he is one of the younger guys.
Derik Queen 6’8 ‘24 St. Frances (MD)
Queen is a multipurpose post who has an amazing skill set and feel for his size and age. Derik is comfortable putting the ball on the deck and isn’t afraid to bang down low on the blocks. Queen has a nice touch around the post and converted on a lot of the attempts he took. He was comfortable hedging ball screens showing he can be a versatile defender at times. He doesn’t give up on plays. Derik also showed he can be a break starter of the rebound and found his teammates filling the lanes.

Walden is known for his ability to protect the rim and collect rebounds. He made a lot of crucial defensive stops to help Poly beat Sunrise Christian PG team. Adam is also very comfortable playing out of pick and roll sets. Walden also showed that he can score with his back to the rim and draw fouls and get to the free-throw line.
