10 Michigan Juniors That We Could See Drafted Someday
Chuck Bailey III (PG, Birmingham Groves)
Bailey III just has that “IT” factor. He gets it. He understands the game and what it takes to be successful and great. I refuse to limit how far this could take him.
Marlon Barnes Jr. Marlon Barnes Jr. 6'6" | SF Brush | 2023 State #161 Nation OH (SG, Ypsi Prep)
Barnes Jr. has an incredibly high upside. He has elite athleticism and can handle the ball and attack the rim. Barnes jr. has become very efficient when finishing at the rim.
Braelon Green Braelon Green 6'3" | PG Southern California Academy | 2023 #95 Nation CA-S (SG, Ypsilanti Lincoln)
Green was playing lights out this summer and fall before an injury shelved him for a bit. He put defenders on his hip and kept them at bay when attacking the basket. If he continues to improve at this rate – WATCH OUT!
Prince Jackson Prince Jackson 6'0" | PG North Farmington | 2023 State MI (PG, Farmington)
I’ve always been a huge advocate of this young man’s game. He sets the offense and is money on his passes to cutting and slashing teammates.
Tim Jordan Tim Jordan 6'7" | PF Saginaw Arthur Hill | 2023 TX (PF, Saginaw Arthur Hill)
Jordan is a bouncy post player that can really dominate in the paint. He has as much upside, if not more, than any post player in the class of 2023. Jordan plays with a Saginaw toughness that could carry him a long ways.
Malik Olafioye Malik Olafioye 6'2" | PG Ecorse | 2023 State #149 Nation MI (PG, Ecorse)
Olafioye might be the best ball handler in the state by the time it’s all said and done. He’s an electric perimeter player that can create at any given moment. Olafioye has proven to be a tough cover nationally. He’s got double digit offers before his sophomore season for a reason.
RJ Taylor RJ Taylor 6'0" | PG Grand Blanc | 2023 State #262 Nation MI (PG, Grand Blanc)
Taylor isn’t just a floor manager and he showed that during grassroots season. He’s like Tom Brady under center – Running the offense to perfection and making big plays when his team needs them.
Jakhary Towns Jakhary Towns 6'1" | SG Godwin Heights | 2023 State MI (SG, Godwin Heights)
Towns is a silky smooth perimeter player that sneaks and wiggles his way into the lane. He has one of the best mid range games I’ve seen in Michigan. I won’t put any accomplishments past a young man with the drive and the solid head on his shoulders that he has.
Curtis Williams Curtis Williams 6'5" | SF Brother Rice | 2023 State #93 Nation MI (SF, Brother Rice)
Williams exploded as a prospect this summer, and he deserves it. He has a skill set that puts him among the top wings in the country and has the toughness to match it. Williams could absolutely blow up during high school season.
Sonny Wilson Sonny Wilson 6'0" | PG UD Jesuit | 2023 State #189 Nation MI (PG, UD Jesuit)
Wilson is starting to grab the attention of high major D1’s. He plays well at a fast pace and looks to push the ball with a pass. Wilson moves well after the pass, often opening himself up for a shot on a kick back.
