#3 – Drew Carter Drew Carter 6'3" | SG Tigard | 2021 OR (2021 Tigard)
Carter capably stepped into the spotlight at Tigard in a huge way as a junior and emerged as one of the state’s top scorers. Previously the 6-foot-3 senior was best known for his jumpshot but he was a threat everywhere on the court and was literally unguardable most nights. He committed to Colorado primarily to play quarterback but will also be playing hoops and he’s a near lock to repeat as First Team All-State.
#4 – Darius Gakwasi Darius Gakwasi 6'5" | SG Central Catholic | 2021 State OR (2021 Princeton)
Gakwasi is primed to have a big senior season and leave Central Catholic as perhaps the school’s all-time leading scorer. Each year the 6-foot-5 swingman has further developed an individual skill and last year he became a lights out shooter from distance. Having committed to Princeton the high-academic Gakwasi is now aiming to lead the Rams to a state title.
#10 – Elijah Munyan Elijah Munyan 6'3" | SG Gresham | 2021 State OR (2021 Gresham)
There is probably no player more of a high-riser in the state than Munyan, who made the transition to 6A basketball at Gresham with little difficulty. The 6-foot-3 senior simply flies through the air and plays above the rim and is a human highlight reel in transition. Munyan has been working to improve his jumper and creating with the basketball and has natural athletic ability you just can’t teach.
#17 – Brady Grier Brady Grier 6'5" | SF Westview | 2021 State OR (2021 Westview)
Grier was rock solid on a very balanced Westview team last year and has grown more confident in his all-around abilities. The 6-foot-5 senior has always possessed a sweet shot but this summer he’s shown the ability to create off the bounce and his his size advantage to score over smaller players. Grier recently picked an offer from Multnomah and his high academics have him a priority with D-III schools.
#22 – Dakota Sams Dakota Sams 6'2" | SG Nixya'awii | 2021 State OR (2021 Pendleton)
He’s a bit hidden in the eastern part of the state but Sams has consistently put up the high scoring numbers the past couple of seasons to deserve his current ranking. At 6-foot-2 he’s got good size on the wing for the high school level and not only does he have deep shooting range, he’s got the swagger to let you know it as well.
