Many say that basketball is a big man’s game. I beg to differ when I watch these outstanding guards play. They bring fire when they play. They will not let size deter them. Lets take a look at these 5 outstanding guards.
Jeremiah Henderson Jeremiah Henderson 6'0" | PG Detroit PershingArts & Media | 2022 State MI (2022, 6-0, Communication and Arts)
Henderson is the truth. He is exciting to watch and he can do it all. He is very quick and at times he is can’t be guarded. He is fearless going to the rim with acrobatic finishes. He is a flat out scorer. On top of all this he works hard. He is college ready.
Korbin Massie (2021, 5-11, Renaissance)
Massie know how to play point guard. At the expo he showed he is a point guard that gets his teammates involved. He is good at controlling pace. He plays under control. He is good at looking his man off before making a pass. He is also a scoring threat from both mid-range and the three point arc. He is going to have a nice senior year and he will be running a college team one day.
Mason Kazem Mason Kazem 5'11" | PG Taylor | 2022 State MI (2022, 5-11, Taylor)
I saw this young man at the Expo then ran into him at a local gym. He played very hard at the expo and he makes things happen when he has the ball in his hand. He is quick, unselfish, plays good hard defense, and he is a scoring threat. At the gym I watched how hard he works on his game. He is an up and comer.
James Weaver (2024, 5-10, River Rouge)
Honor Roll. High Basketball IQ. Works Hard. Unselfish Point Guard. Leader. Plays inside and outside. Works Hard on Defense. Wants to get better. Coachable. A Good Listener. These are the intangibles I see in Weaver. Sky is the limit for this future River Rouge great.
Jalen Mosley (2024, 5-10, St. Clair Shores South Lake)
Mosley is an up and coming point guard who is going to make people take notice. He loves the game of basketball. He wants to get better. He listens to instruction. He is thirsty for knowledge. On the court be plays beyond his years. He has been taught the proper way to play and it shows on the court. When you combine a high basketball IQ with hard work and a high skill set you get a player to watch out for like Mosley
