Top 250: Junior And Senior Post Talent – Part 1
Trey Bolling Trey Bolling 6'7" | C East Grand Rapids | 2021 State MI (2021, 6-7, PF, East Grand Rapids)
Bolling has made great strides in his game over the last year or so. He’s now a legitimate back to the basket scoring threat and is active on the boards on both ends.
Cooper Craggs Cooper Craggs 6'7" | PF Novi Catholic Central | 2022 State MI (2022, 6-8, PF, Detroit Catholic Central)
Craggs is an under rated talent with mid major skills. He continues to show off his versatility on both ends of the floor and has really cemented himself as a post scoring threat.
Nick Henry Nick Henry 6'7" | PF Caledonia | 2022 State MI (2022, 6-6, C, Caledonia)
There’s a lot to like about Henry as a prospect. He’s a tough kid and I feel like he’s just chipping away at the talent and upside that he has.
Calvin Hyde Calvin Hyde 6'9" | PF Northview | 2022 State MI (2022, 6-8, C, Northview)
Hyde looks like a much improved player, even from just in the spring. He has some bounce in his game and can run the floor in transition.
Quentin Jones (2021, C, 6-7, Madison Heights)
Jones is a talented player that deserves some eyes on him this high school season. He doesn’t need to a certain number of post touches to make a difference. Jones finds his own way to effect the outcome of a game.
Peyton LaCombe Peyton LaCombe 6'8" | PF Ludington | 2022 State MI (2022, 6-7, PF, Ludington)
LaCombe is a prospect that college coaches at multiple levels will be paying a lot of attention to. As he adds physicality to his game, he has the potential to take off.
Rory Montreuil Rory Montreuil 6'7" | PF Utica | 2021 State MI (2021, 6-7, PF, Utica)
Montreuil could have a really big senior season. It feels like he’s right on the cusp of putting it all together and dominating in the paint. The talent and the skills are certainly there.
Jacob Oswald Jacob Oswald 6'9" | PF Brandon | 2021 State MI (2021, 6-9, PF, Brandon)
Oswald is a versatile post, that can probably play the 3 as well. He has good feet and can handle. Oswald is also a nice post defender.
Reed Schilling Reed Schilling 6'6" | PF Flushing | 2021 State MI (2021, 6-5, PF, Flushing)
Schilling is an impressive player that a lot of college coaches should want. He’s almost obsessively bouncy under the rim when battling for a board. Schilling has nice footwork for a 4 as well.
Austin Van Elst Austin Van Elst 6'8" | PF Thornapple Kellogg | 2021 State MI (2021, 6-7, PF, Thornapple-Kellogg)
Van Elst has been impressing scouts and coaches since the earliest grassroots games in Indiana. I like the way he plays off the high post. Van Elst sets solid screens and likes roll of them for a jumper.
Caleb Zurek Caleb Zurek 6'5" | PF White Lake Lakeland | 2022 State MI (2022, 6-5, F, White Lake Lakeland)
I hate to even label Zurek with a position, but I’m going to put him here because he needs to be read about. I like his versatility and ability to guard multiple positions. It feels like Zurek is a threat to score from multiple levels and he has good vertical speed.
