Today, we took some time to go back through the film and find some players that we hadn’t seen enough of the first time around. Here are some guys we really liked on film.
Gabe Gatete – 6’7 PF 2021 – Penn (IN)
Gabe is a long, lanky forward that is still very raw and unknown but has skill that could blossom very late. He’s a really solid shooter. Might be a case where he needs spacing and time but the release for his body style is pretty refined and he could develop into an intruiging prospect just because of that. He will need as much time as possible to get to a great place but everything is there and could be a great stash prospect.

Clay impressed quite a bit this weekend. He’s the type of guy I always notice but never really knew yet what he would end up like. Now, that picture is a little bit more clear. He’s really solid faced up and moving at the rim with a capable jumper but a frame that should fill out as he probably won’t get a lot more size. He was really active and the more I watch the more I like.

– 6’4 SG 2023 – Brebeuf Jesuit (IN)
Merrick has really grown in the last year as a legit 6’4 with strength. He’s more of an off-guard/wing right now and will probably have a chance to stay on the ball. The ball handling is pretty solid and he can create a bit. He’s going to be a balanced scorer from the looks of it as he isn’t dominant one way or another with his offense. Could see him taking off here this high school season with more playing time available.
Mike Elliott – 6’2 SG 2021 – North Central (IN)
Mike continues to be a solid off-guard with scoring potential. He’s a role guy pretty quickly in college because of how well he shoots the ball. He’s a guy that could and should develop as a driver off the bounce but might not take until in college. That upside resides in him so if he falls into playing time quickly, he could get really good really quick for a college program.

Marcus has really grown even since the summer when we saw him. Sitting around 6’2 now and a decent amount of added weight, Becher looks more and more like his older brother. A little more guided towards shooting right now but could showcase that athleticism and slashing ability pretty quickly.
