Continue ReadingThe Tarrant County Combine Showcase presented by Kevin Bradley and The Hoop Association was a newsworthy event filled with several hidden gems from all over Tarrant County, multiple top 100 players in the state, along with a few D1 prospects. The combine consisted of height, weight, and wingspan measurements, intense drills, competitive games, and an All-Star game at the very end.
Dwayne Bradley was one of the toughest postmen in the combine, he may be a bit undersized at his position, but he makes up for it by being incredibly strong, wide, physical opposing, dominating the boards, shutting down the paint, and having a high-level understanding of the game. On the offensive side of the ball, Bradley displayed his ability to spread the floor by popping out, spotting up, and catching and shooting. Dwayne also showed that he can handle the ball as well, they passed it to him on the wing, he put the ball on the floor and got to the basket where he was able to finish with either hand. One of his most impressive attributes is his ability to defend smaller and faster players on the wing, his footwork is very quick for a big man, one of the few post players that can guard just about every position. Dwayne Bradley also did an exceptional job of using his strength, size, and body to shield off defenders for offensive rebounds and easy layups. Bradley has the work ethic and the mentality to be a force of nature on the boards at the NCJAA level.

Jalen Williams Jalen Williams 6'4" | SF Lancaster | 2021 State TX was one of the most competitive players in attendance, the entire combine he showed a good work ethic on everything he did, playing, and practicing with a chip on his shoulder. Everything about Williams seemed like he wanted to be the best on the floor. He’s a good feel for the game guy that’s always looking to make the right play. He did it all out there, he set guys up, played solid defense, and was one of the better rebounding guards on the court. Jalen Williams Jalen Williams 6'4" | SF Lancaster | 2021 State TX is a hungry prospect that’s always looking to develop his game and get better.
| Jacob Armant | Point Guard | Arlington Lamar |
Jacob Armant was the smallest player on the court but he played with the biggest heart. Armant was a handful for a lot of defenders out there, he has quick ball-handling speed, a nice stroke, good-looking release, elevation, and rotation on the ball, he excelled most when stopping on a dime for his pull-up jumper. Jacob also showed solid court vision and playmaking instincts, he had stints where he was able to create for others by looking defenders off and driving the lane before kicking it out. He was never afraid to attack the basket, his body control was highly impressive, once he was inside he was able to bounce off of defenders and still make the right pass or get his shot off. Jacob Armant was the definition of the phrase heart over height, his effort and determination even earned him a spot in the combine All-Star game at the end of the day.
