The combine consisted of height, weight, and wingspan measurements, intense drills, competitive games, and an All-Star game at the very end.
| Kevin Daniels | Combo Guard | Mansfield High School |
Kevin Daniels is a hidden gem with some serious game that immediately jumped out at me. Good guard instincts, he can be the playmaker that creates for others or take control and be the leading scorer for his team. Kevin’s offensive skill set is very well rounded, he’s a high-level dribbler, an effective scorer that has a knack for putting the ball in the hoop and getting hot, and also a solid assist man. Daniels showed exceptional footwork that seemed very deceptive at times, his first-step is lethal, he has nice shifty moves to use when creating space, getting defenders off balance, and getting around guys for a quick mid-range pull-up jumper or to the basket for a layup. If Kevin Daniels continues to play like at this level, then this will be a big breakout year for him.
| Michael Strickland | Power Forward | Arlington High School |
Michael Strickland was the top rim protector in attendance, his effort defensively was outstanding, Stickland didn’t give up any easy layups or dunks. He was never afraid to challenge anyone at the basket, a few guys even tried to slam on Michael, but he was having none of that, he denied shots left and right at the rim, showing elite timing, hands, and leaping ability. He gave up no alley-oops, dunks, or layups, Strickland showed next level shot-blocking potential, his standing reach made him incredibly difficult to score over or on down low. Michael Strickland is a high ceiling, high potential prospect that will be great for any program that he chooses to play for. This hidden gem that shined bright like a diamond at the Tarrant County Combine.
| Bobby Flowers | Shooting Guard | O.D. Wyatt |
This lefty ate guys up with his pull-up step back dribble, a move Bobby executed perfectly when creating space for his jumper. Flowers got hot and began knocking down all of the threes he took. He played the point guard position effectively, showing his ability to create for others, he found his bigs, cutters, and shooters on a consistent basis. Bobby also kept defenders guessing with his elite ball speed on his combo dribble moves. Defensively, he locked down on his opponents as usual. Bobby is no slouch on defense and will make you work for whatever you get. Bobby Flowers stood out the most during competitive games where he was able to just play ball and let his game do the talking.
