Jayden Brown ’23
Brown showed promise while playing with Prospect U. The tall and long-limbed guard prospect is still growing into his body but is already an imposing presence on the court. Brown lets the game come to him offensively which is commendable. On the defensive end, he exhibits significant potential when you consider his ability to rebound in or out of his area, block shots and be disruptive with his length.
Ryan Cornish Ryan Cornish 6'3" | CG Sidwell Friends | 2021 State MD ’21
Cornish has bulked up over the summer and this has translated right away on the court. He deals with physicality much better now than in the past, and should only continue to improve in that area moving forward.
Benjamin Cunningham ’21
Christ Chapel welcomed Cunningham back with open arms on Thursday after getting pummeled in the paint without him last time out. He made his presence felt right away. Cunningham is a workhorse in the paint who made it a point to crash the boards on every play. He constantly ran the floor with purpose and was rewarded with some easy bunnies at the rim as a result.
Jayden Harris ’23
Harris turned up the aggression, particularly on the offensive end. The lanky lefty shot the ball with confidence, showcasing his ability to create space off the bounce along with his quick release. Harris also continued to due his due diligence defensively by staying active, alert, and helping out on the boards.
Greg Jones Greg Jones 6'1" | CG Sidwell Friends | 2021 State MD ’23
Jones was outstanding for Team VA in their hard-fought win. The athletic wing led by example. He was seen taking charges, sharing the ball, and encouraging his teammates. There is a lot to like about Jones moving forward when you consider his combination of size and athleticism along with his budding base skill set.
Kent King Kent King 6'3" | SF Archbishop Carroll | 2021 State MD ’21
King’s versatility in the front-court is a tough proposition for his opponents. Whether he’s catching and shooting from behind the arc, slashing to the rim and finishing in traffic, or pulling up from in-between, he is a threat to score from anywhere on the court. Defensively, he gives effort on every play and is able to be deployed on multiple fronts.
Xzavier Long Xzavier Long 6'6" | PF VA Academy | 2021 State VA ’21
Long set the tone early in the game for his team with his energy and effort. He played his trademark menacing defense by denying the ball, creating deflections, and looking to take a charge whenever he could. Long’s toughness was impressive. He took several hard falls but repeatedly hopped right back up on his feet as if nothing happened.
Kullen Robinson ’23
Robinson is a promising young player who lets the game come to him and makes everything look simple. He’s a reliable standstill shooter who makes sound decisions with the ball in his hands and competes defensively.
Ryan Sabol ’23
Sabol is a big guard with an intriguing two-way outlook. His size helps him defend around the rim by altering and blocking shots as well as rebounding, but he is also solid at the point of attack. On the offensive end, Sabol is a creative finisher in the lane who can also make shots from behind the arc.
Bryson Wilson Bryson Wilson 6'5" | SF St Stephen’s And St Agnes | 2023 State VA ’23
Wilson’s athleticism and effort once again jumped off the page, but he also hit a couple of jumpers. Wilson is showing more confidence than ever as a spot-up shooter, which is great to see.
