Kevin Bozeman Kevin Bozeman 6'6" | PF Downers Grove North | 2021 State IL (Downers Grove North)
Bozeman is a bouncy power forward that can stretch the floor with his shooting. Really surprised he hasn’t gotten more attention at the D2 level than he has. He says the two schools talking to him the most right now are Seton Hill and Emporia State. He had a visit scheduled for Seton Hill, but it had to be rescheduled. Governors State and UW-Oshkosh are also in the mix for his services.
James Ogrodnik James Ogrodnik 6'9" | PF Lincoln-Way Central | 2021 State IL (Lincoln Way Central)
This 6’7″post elevated his stock with a big summer for the Illinois T-Wolves. Has bounce around the hoop blocking shots and finishing above the rim. Can also stretch the floor with his shooting. He tells PHI on his recruitment, “Governors State asked me to visit and Texas Tech Corpus Christi called me as well.”
Grant Johnson Grant Johnson 6'5" | PF Naperville North | 2021 State IL (Naperville North)
Johnson is a shooting power forward that’s strength is letting it fly on spot up opportunities. He showed flashes of improved handles this summer. He updated us on his recruitment saying, “The ones that have contacted me the most have probably been Denison, Macalester, and Loras. I’ve also talked a good amount with Augustana, Illinois Wesleyan, and Hillsdale.”
Devon Vanderheydt Devon Vanderheydt 6'7" | PF Washington | 2021 State IL (Washington)
Vanderheydt is yet another ideal new age four because of his shooting from beyond the arc and his activity level around the rim. He told us that Northwest Missouri State and Minnesota State have checked in on him recently. Indiana Wesleyan remains in contact as well. He is hoping to increase his recruitment with a big senior season.
Connor Barnett Connor Barnett 6'2" | SG Fulton | 2021 State IL (Fulton)
Barnett is a sleeper guard that made a name with the Iowa Mavs during the summer. The combo guard can shoot the rock. On his college interest he said, “I’ve been talking to a lot of D3 schools and a couple of JUCO’s. Some of the D3’s are Loras, Platteville, Coe, and Dubuque.”
Matthew Williams Matthew Williams 6'4" | SF Peoria Notre Dame | 2021 State IL (Peoria Notre Dame)
Williams is a combo forward that brings skill and toughness to the table. On his recruitment he said the school that is in most contact and he has visited is Loras. On their program he noted, “I really like the coaching staff and how they do things there. I also liked the campus and facilities.”
Parker Wolfe Parker Wolfe 5'11" | PG Effingham | 2021 State IL (Effingham)
The Effingham left handed flamethrower is a fun lead guard to watch with his playmaking and deep shooting. He says that right now Illinois Wesleyan is the main school involved in his recruitment. Wolfe took a visit there on Tuesday.
Michael Hamilton Michael Hamilton 6'6" | PF St. Patrick's | 2021 State IL (St. Patrick’s)
Hamilton helped his stock with a strong summer for Sharks Basketball on the Prep Hoops Circuit. The big man gave us the latest. “My top four schools of interest right now are Augustana, Loras, Aurora, and Dominican. Augustana, Loras, and Dominican have had me come out to visit and invited me out again to watch practice and see a game. I have also been in contact with the University of St. Thomas assistant coach.”
Terrance Moncrief Terrance Moncrief 5'11" | PG Joliet West | 2021 State IL (Joliet West)
This left handed point guard has been a mainstay running the show for the Illinois T-Wolves the last two summers. We caught up with his coach Kent Robinson who told us, “He’s visited Trine University and Illinois Tech has talked to him.”
