They will have a defined role from the time they step on campus and you can feel very confident that they will pan out as multiyear contributors. Here we look at some of the safest 2022 prospects in the state of Illinois outside of the top 10.
Cooper Noard Cooper Noard 6'2" | PG Glenbrook South | 2022 State IL (Glenbrook South)
Noard is a high IQ guard that makes the correct play time after time with the ball in his hands. The floor general is a sound passer that can also really shoot the ball. Lead guards that don’t make mistakes and hit shots are very valuable!
Christian Meeks Christian Meeks 6'6" | SF Homewood Flossmoor | 2022 State IL (Homewood Flossmoor)
Meeks is a physical force on both ends of the floor. He plays so hard and his elite skill is his motor. The Homewood Flossmoor power forward is a high level rebounder that grabs them with tenacity putting misses back in for second chance points. Really good defensive player that can be impactful across the board on that end.
Caden Pierce Caden Pierce 6'5" | SG Glenbard West | 2022 State IL (Glenbard West)
Pierce is a strong bodied two guard that can knock down shots. Plays within himself and he knows his role. Also a sound passer from the wing making those around him better both on his high school and travel team.
Martell Webb Martell Webb 6'7" | C Tinley Park | 2022 State IL (Westinghouse)
Webb is a big bodied five man that mauls on the glass, carves out space inside for efficient finishes, and is a brick wall defensively.
Nick Martinelli Nick Martinelli 6'6" | SF Glenbrook South | 2022 State #235 Nation IL (Glenbrook South)
Martinelli like his older brother is extremely skilled as a face up four. He has more physical tools than Dominic did with size and athleticism.
Timaris Brown Timaris Brown 6'6" | PF St. Patrick | 2022 State IL (St. Patrick’s)
This left handed small forward is a prospect that has always been productive. Whether he will be a three or small ball four at the next level we believe he will be successful because of his toughness and knack for putting the ball in the hoop. Good rebounder as well.
Kai Rios (Rock Island)
Rios is a three sport star that hasn’t decided on a sport for college, but if he chose hoops there will be quite a few low-major and D2 programs knocking down his door. Fundamentally sound big man that has excellent footwork and touch inside.
Gabe Madej Gabe Madej 6'5" | SF Fenwick | 2022 State IL (Fenwick)
Madej is as safe as it comes in 2022. The Fenwick small forward you know is going to bring his toughness and shooting every time he steps on the floor. Strong combo forward that is a sniper off the catch from three. Tough kid rebounding in traffic and can post up smaller defenders.
Eric Locke (OPRF)
Locke brings his hard hat every time out. We really like the length and motor he brings to the table. He still has some more upside if he grows more, but even if he doesn’t as a versatile power forward that can switch and rebound he is what college coaches look for.
Sean Paige Sean Paige 6'8" | C Anderson | 2022 State IN (Proviso East)
Paige is a brick wall in the paint on both ends of the floor. He rebounds well in his area and is efficient with his power and touch offensively playing on the block.
