During the HS season, I only got to see Austin Ball Austin Ball 6'7" | SF Miller School | 2023 State #203 Nation VA play three times. This summer, I got to see a lot of Ball though. Playing with the WV Generals, I got to see Austin play alongside multiple D1/D2 players. After further evaluation, Ball rose in the rankings from 19 to 4, rising 15 spots. Austin is a very versatile basketball player. He can play 2-4 on both sides of the ball. He shoots the ball extremely well from mid range and from behind the arc, is a good finisher who can play above the rim, has a solid handle and playmaking abilities, defends 2-4 defensively and is a good positional rebounder. Mid and high major D1’s need to inquire.
Brooks Gage Brooks Gage 6'1" | SG Morgantown | 2022 State WV – 6’2” CG Morgantown ’22
During the HS season, I saw a lot of Brooks, but this summer I got to see a much improved player since February. This summer, I saw Gage playing for the WV Burn alongside multiple collegiate players. After further evaluation, Gage rose in the rankings from 28 to 16, rising 12 spots. Brooks is a crafty combo guard who plays with a lot of confidence. He can play at either guard spot on both sides of the ball although I like him more as a 2-Guard. He shoots the ball extremely well off the catch and has improved his jumper off the bounce, is a solid finisher, has a good handle and solid playmaking abilities and is a solid perimeter defender. Elite D2’s need to inquire.
Ryan Maier Ryan Maier 5'10" | CG Grafton | 2022 State WV – 5’10” CG Grafton ’22
During the HS season, I only got to see Grafton play once. This summer, I got very familiar with Ryan Maier Ryan Maier 5'10" | CG Grafton | 2022 State WV though. This summer I watched Ryan play and thrive on both the WV Reign 16’s and 17’s teams. Although he lacks size, he plays extremely hard and has a good skillset to make up for it. After further evaluation, Maier rose in the rankings from 35 to 23, rising 12 spots. Ryan is a smooth, scoring minded combo guard. He is capable of playing either guard spot. Maier shoots the ball well of the catch and can also make shots off the dribble, is a solid finisher, has a good handle with solid playmaking abilities, is a good defender and has a great motor. D2’s need to inquire!
