Leon Bond Leon Bond 6'5" | SF Wauwatosa East | 2022 State #62 Nation WI — 6-foot-5 — Wauwatosa East
Bond is one of the most exciting prospects in Wisconsin to watch. He is an explosive athlete who loves to get out in transition and throw down huge dunks. This past summer, I saw a more developed and skilled Bond. Previously, he relied on his athletic ability to find success on the court. But now, he is able to pair his physical gifts with real skill. He has a much smoother outside shot, which has allowed him to score easier in the half-court. As Bond continues to get better, I think high major D1 programs are going to be all over him.
Logan Landers Logan Landers 6'9" | PF Cedarburg | 2021 State WI — 6-foot-9 — Cedarburg
Landers is simply too big and too strong for most defenders to handle. The 6-foot-9 power forward is very difficult to guard in the paint. His height might be his biggest advantage, but Landers also has a lot of skill. He is a terrific outside shooter who will put a lot of pressure on opposing squad’s defenses. Landers — who was originally in the 2021 class — recently reclassed to 2022. Texas A&M, Kansas, Houston, Miami, USC, Iowa, and many other programs have already shown a lot of interest in his skills.
Maximus Nelson Maximus Nelson 6'7" | PF Appleton North | 2022 State #236 Nation WI — 6-foot-7 — Appleton North
I think that Nelson could be the best prospect in the Fox Valley Association in the 2020-21 season. On the AAU circuit, Nelson isn’t very aggressive on the offensive end because Wisconsin Playground Club is loaded with weapons. But with Appleton North, the 6-foot-7 power forward needs to be the number one option in order for his team to find success. In his junior season, I think that Nelson is primed to put up huge numbers. His offer list is almost certain to expand in the very near future.
Danilo Jovanovich Danilo Jovanovich 6'6" | PF Whitnall | 2022 State WI — 6-foot-6 — Whitnall
Jovanovich is a prospect that could shoot up the rankings in the near future. In the post, the power forward has a handful of crafty post moves that he can pull out of his toolbox. He is also very effective as a slasher and outside shooter. Many times, defenders that guard Jovanovich are forced to pick their poison. If one portion of his game is taken away, then the PF is versatile enough to find other ways to dominate.
Donovan Short Donovan Short 6'9" | PF Denmark | 2022 State WI — 6-foot-9 — Denmark
Because he doesn’t go to a powerhouse school in Milwaukee or Madison, Short didn’t get a lot of attention. But now, Short has found a roster spot on Phenom University, which has helped his stock go through the roof. USC and UW-Milwaukee have recently offered roster spots to the Denmark standout. Short is a perfect example of what a modern power forward should look like. He is able to score really well in the post but also has guard-like skills. If he is able to impress on the AAU circuit next summer, then I think a lot of schools will be very interested in Short.
Amari Jedkins Amari Jedkins 6'7" | PF Racine Case | 2022 State WI — 6-foot-7 — Racine Case
Out of all the prospects on this list, Jedkins might be the furthest away from reaching his full potential. He is currently the 12th ranked prospect in the 2022 class, but I think that the PF has a chance to crack the top five if he makes big improvements. He might not ever be the type of player to put up huge numbers, but his impact on the game is unmatched. The forward is able to block shots, throw down dunks, and make big-time plays in transition. Jedkins is the type of player that does a lot of little things to help his team win games.
