Prep Hoops Texas Top 250 Player Expo camp will consist of nearly 200 basketball recruits from all over Texas, even some top 100 prospects from classes 2021-’24. This expo will give several players the opportunity to showcase their talents and also give watchers a chance to see the next wave of talent on the rise. Here are a few of those freshmen and sophomore recruits on the come up that you should keep eyes on at the Top 250 Expo this weekend. 

Rylan Kennedy – Small Forward – Mansfield Lake Ridge – 2023

Rylan Kennedy always brings high-level athleticism and effort to the floor, never being out-worked or out-hustled. Kennedy attacks the rim and the boards aggressively, a quick leaper who can get off ground easily, play above the rim, and throw down some monstrous dunks. Rylan won’t be hard to spot, his game will jump out at you. 

Dylan Archey – Point Guard – Allen – 2023

Smart point guard with a good understanding of the position, good read and reaction player, good patience, not phased or rattled by tight defenses, makes precise passes and knows how to create a scoring opportunity for his teammates. Archey’s most impressive skill might just be his ability to run the show and dictate the offense. Look for Dylan to excel when penetrating deep into the lane or setting guys up with open shots.

Keep an eye out for sharpshooter, Garrett NuckollsGarrettNuckolls6'6" | SGLaPoynor | 2023StateTX. He has a superb ability to shoot and score from any spot on the court no matter how deep it may be. Nuckolls lets it fly with an abundance of confidence, he will be blowing people away with his light-outs shooting and his parking lot range.

Kamal Brooks – Combo Guard – Red Oak – 2024

Kamal is a true high motor ballplayer that finds a way to make his presence felt on both ends of the court. Brooks has good basketball instincts that are still developing, this young man plays winning basketball. Look for Kamal to standout during competitive games, he’ll be that player wreaking havoc on defense and diving for every loose ball.   

Amier Ali – Shooting Guard/Small Forward – Spring Creek Academy – 2024 

6’7 versatile wing with elite guard skills and abilities. Ali can make really impressive combo dribble moves, pro-level types of moves that will shock anyone watching. Able to create a shot for himself and others in transition and also in a half-court setting, also great at changing speeds, directions, and stopping and starting on a dime. The ceiling for Amier Ali is unbelievably high, he will surely be a top player in the class of 2024.
