This has been a great representation of some of the great young talent Minnesota has to offer. Be on the lookout for the rest of my coverage of this league over the next coming weeks!
Jalen Wilson 2025 6’3 Breck Private School
Jalen is the real deal, possessing great size and loves the big moments. He seems to recognize when his teammates are struggling and demands the ball to initiate offense for himself and his team. His long arms allow him to play harassing on ball defense, he loves to go for the home run plays in the passing lanes and smartly gambles a lot, resulting in steals and easy buckets on the other end. He is an impressive ball handler and loves to get in the phone booth with defenders and blow by them when he has them on an island.
Jaylen Ashfeld 2025 5’7 Rocori High School
Jaylen is an intelligent point guard who sets up his teammates with ease. He displayed a great use of his bounce passes to get right into his teammates shooting pockets, allowing them to go up with their shots with ease. I would like to see him get more aggressive on the court and be fearless when he attacks the rim. As an undersized guard he must have that mentality that no matter what he can get my shot off on whoever is guarding him or sliding over to protect the rim.
Brogan Madson 2025 5’7 Prairie Winds Middle School
Brogan is a quick guard who is great at attacking the paint and softly finishing in the lane. He has an impressive number of floaters and fadeaways he can get to within the midrange and the paint, making him an effective scorer. He is great operating with one or two dribbles and allows him to be real offensive weapon. I would like to see continued development with his playmaking ability and setting up his teammates after drawing the defenses attention in the paint.
Rhikenzo Lee 2026 5’10
Rhikenzo is long athletic player who is great at attacking the defense and finishing around the rim. His ability to beat his defender off a live dribble allowed him to attack and shoot over the top of defenders. His long arms allow him to finish over the top of defenders as well as shoot over them from range. His ability to run the pick and roll will make him a coveted asset over these next few years. He is an intelligent defender who slides over to contest shots well, as well as cut off driving lanes. I would like to see him develop more as a ball handler and facilitator, as he will be getting most of the opposing teams attention on offense, and will need to be able to pick apart defenses with his passes as well as beat his man off the dribble.
Ben Goring 2027 5’2 Farmington High School
Ben is an intelligent guard who knows how to use spacing to create opportunities for his teammates. His shot making ability from behind the arc allows him to be an effective scorer. He loves to take on the tougher defensive assignments and try to affect the game on the defensive end of the floor. I would like to see him work on his ability to score and put pressure on the defense with a live dribble.
