This has been a great representation of some of the great young talent Minnesota has to offer. Be on the lookout for the rest of my coverage of this league over the next coming weeks!
Kalin Jochum 2027 5’7 Chaska High School
Kalin is an athletic player with good leaping ability and athleticism. He plays harassing defense that seems to swallow up defenders and force them into uncomfortable spots. He is an intelligent player who knows how to set screens to create space for his teammates. I would like to see him work on his ability to shoot off the catch, he can become an effective pick and popping wing who can put the ball on the floor and torch the defense.
Jayden Kenow 2026 5’4 Dodge Middle School
Jayden is a lanky wing with great potential to be an effective scorer within the next few years. He already has a few impressive moves he can get to with a live dribble to clear space for himself. He is a reliable shooter off the catch and already has a multitude of moves that can get him to his favorite spots in the midrange. I would like to see him work on driving and finishing around the rim, especially against larger competition.
Daxton Kossoris 2027 5’2 Chaska Middle School West (Chaska High School)
Daxton is an explosive player who is great at getting downhill and attacking the rim. He is a real athlete who has great end to end speed and plays with an unstoppable motor. His long arms and intensity make him a real prospect with a chance to be successful at the next level. I would like to see him work on his pull up game and shot off a live dribble. His ability to get his head down and put pressure on the defense will open up his outside game and allow him to develop into a complete three level player.
Taaj Whitlock 2027 5’0 Brooklyn Middle Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math School
Taaj is an intelligent point guard whos passes always have the right amount of touch on them to beat outstretched defenders. His ability to initiate fast breaks with his vision and passing ability sets him apart from other point guards at his age. I would like to see continued development with his lateral speed and overall body strength. He has a real chance to be an effective player based on his ability to create for his teammates.
Brady Schultz 2027 5’0 Delano High School
Brady is an intelligent guard who loves to set up his teammates. His willingness to create and set up for them was incredibly impressive, even setting screens as soon as he passed the ball to free up a shooter. I would like to see him work on moving without the basketball, and focus on keeping and maintain space to open up driving lanes for his teammates.
