Ty Gilbert is a point guard/shooting guard from the class of 2023. Last season, Ty played big minutes for the Grace Grizzlies and contributed lots of scoring for the team as well. He is one of the players from the state with the most potential in the class of 2023. Next season, I would expect Gilbert to help lead the Grizzlies on their journey towards a district tournament championship and a run at the state tournament. Defense: Gilbert is a solid defender for the Grizzlies. Grace likes to set up a 3/4 court run and jump press defense and Ty often plays as one of the guards in the front. He makes great reads and has the ability to run through passing lanes and has great hands that allow him to grab a lot of steals. When guarding the ball one on one, Gilbert does a good job of keeping his man in front and takes calculated risks. Against bigs, Ty struggles at time due to a lack of strength, but that will improve in the following three seasons as he gets stronger. He crashes
