Jordan will look to lead the Huskies again this season as they seek to win their district championship and make a deep run at the state tournament. Continue reading for a breakdown of Jordan’s skills and abilities ahead of the 2020-21 season.
Defense: Lenz is solid defender for the Huskies and uses his athleticism well to guard all kinds of players. Against guards, Lenz is more than capable of keeping them in front and routinely applies lots of ball pressure. The majority of his steals come away from the ball when he runs through a passing lanes or deflects a pass and chases it down. Laterally, he moves well and does a great job of keeping his man from gaining an advantage by turning a corner. Against bigs, Lenz is not the biggest or strongest player, but he does not shy away from the contact or back down from a fight. He attempts to front the post player if he can and will force them into taking difficult shots. Jordan attacks the defensive glass on most possessions and rebounds well for his position.
Offense: Jordan is a knockdown shooter from the perimeter for North Fremont. He has a great looking jump shot that he is always ready to shoot and can get hot in a hurry. Lenz chooses to take smart shots that he knows he can make and does not try to force any poor shots. His feet are always ready to catch and shoot and he makes a living off of being ready when the ball is passed to him. Lenz is a good passer as well and has excellent court vision that he uses to find the open cutter for easy buckets. Jordan can also score at the rim and from mid-range, but his best offensive skills come from behind the three-point line.
Overall: Altogether, Jordan is a great player for the Huskies and will continue to build his skills in the next two seasons. On defense, he is an athletic player who pressures to his ability and makes the offensive player uncomfortable. On the other side of the ball, Jordan is a great shooter from deep and makes sure that the defense locates him at all times.
