Jackson Steele – 6’3 – Shooting Guard – McKinney High School – 2022
Jackson Steele was a scoring threat from anywhere within the half-court, he displayed exceptional guard and scoring instincts. Steele was a nightmare for defenses due to the fact that he could pull-up from way outside, showing college-level range. His in-game quickness along with his ball-handling gave him the ability to create separation when needed. Jackson played with great competitiveness to his game, his contribution in game one kept the score tight, he kept attacking the basket using great focus to finish through contact and hard fouls. Jackson Steele got the ball at half-court with 7 seconds remaining in the game, he quickly broke his man down, attacked off of the left-wing, got all the way to the basket, and converted an extremely tough layup through two contesting defenders. As the clock struck zero, the buzzer sounded and the ball fell right through the net, giving his team a last-second victory to start the day.
PJ Twa – 6’3 – Combo Guard – McKinney Boyd – 2022
PJ Twa played with good versatility, showing that he can be effective from both guard positions, but best at the point guard position where he can create and distribute the ball to his teammates. An accurate passer that puts the ball where only his man can get it. High-level court vision, PJ has the ability to find an open teammate in any situation and make any pass on the floor. PJ Twa displayed a high basketball IQ, a great feel for the game, and unselfishness, he saw things everyone else didn’t see, he gave up good shots for great shots, passing up on open threes in transition and dumping it to the open man cutting to the basket.
Elijah Knox – 6’2 – Shooting Guard – McKinney Boyd – 2023
Elijah proved to be a smooth ball-handler, Knox caught guys off guard all day long with his in-and-out, hesitation moves that opened up the lane for multiple high percentage shots, mostly easy layups. When driving to the basket, his counter moves off the dribble were lethal, Elijah made it look simple getting his defenders leaning and keeping them off balance. Elijah Knox is definitely a name to take note of, he’s going to become a deadly offensive weapon for McKinney Boyd as time goes on.
