It’s never too early for too-early-season. With fall sports and school underway, it’s only a matter of time before the winter sports season is upon us. 

With that in mind, here’s a look at some of the top point guards in Class A:

Lamp might be more of a combo guard than a true point but he’s the floor general for the Bluejays and will be tasked with a lot of the playmaking responsibility. He’s arguably the best returning player in the state and the favorite to win the Player-of-the-Year in the WDA. He’s rock-solid in just about every area of the game, as he’s a terrific defender on the perimeter and can blend his scoring and distributing effectively. 

Deonte MartinezDeonteMartinez5'10" | PGMinot | 2021StateND, Minot

Martinez has been among the best point guards in the state since his sophomore season and will have the keys to the whole thing this winter, as he’s the only returning starter for the Magicians. He’s a tone-setter on both ends of the floor, pushing the tempo and getting into the paint at will offensively while putting pressure on the ball defensively. Expect
