With that in mind, here’s a look at some of the top forwards in Class A:
Jacksen Moni Jacksen Moni 6'9" | PF West Fargo Sheyenne | 2021 State ND , West Fargo Sheyenne
Moni is arguably the top returning big man in Class A, and the best defensive big in the state. The Northern State commit averaged nearly 11 points and seven rebounds for a West Fargo Sheyenne team that reached the state semifinals last season and should be among the best teams in Class A this winter. He’s a terrific individual and team defender with the offensive skill to put up big numbers with more opportunity.
Keith Levin Keith Levin 6'6" | PF Jamestown | 2021 State ND , Jamestown
Levin is the anchor on both ends of the floor for the Bluejays and while he may not be a heavily featured offensive player, his ability to rebound, defend and finish make him an integral piece to a team that should have state title aspirations. Levin does the dirty work for Jamestown and has a great shot at averaging a double-double in the WDA this season.
Wyatt Enno Wyatt Enno 6'2" | SF Turtle Mountain | 2021 State ND , Turtle Mountain
Enno missed his junior season with an injury but averaged 14 points and nearly seven rebounds as a sophomore for Turtle Mountain. He looked good as ever over the summer playing with ND Phenom and his ability to cause mismatches offensively make him rare in the WDA. He’s a multipositional defender who can impact the game as a helper and on the glass. And his ability to score or make plays on the wing or at the high post make him one of the best overall players in the WDA.
Owen Hektner Owen Hektner 6'6" | SF Fargo Davies | 2021 State ND , Fargo Davies
Hektner was a super utility guy for Fargo Davies as a junior, averaging 11 points and five rebounds while shooting better than 40 percent from the 3-point line. On a less loaded team, Hektner will naturally take on more responsibility. He’s a terrific all-around defender who can crossmatch and provide a lot of value as a helper. And his ability to space the floor with his shooting and make plays in complementary fashion will be on full display this winter.
