New York 2022 Rankings ANNOUNCEMENT
After months of hard work searching, compiling, and ranking current juniors from all across New York, Prep Hoops New York has released their 2022 rankings! These rankings are truly the definition of broad-scoped, with players who already have D1 offers lined up starting at the top, and the list goes on until players who may never even thought of playing college basketball.
As these juniors really have two years until the close of high school, what they do this junior year, most likely, would make or break any college aspirations. Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, and some schools already flat out cancelling basketball until the 2021-2022 season, these kids would have a lot of time to privately work on their game before being checked up on again, with lots of rankings turnover expected.
To accommodate the expected mass improvement of many of the state’s players, the rankings had to be especially deep this year, which they were, with 2022 starting out at #1 with Manhattan scoring phenom Dior Davis Dior Davis 6'0" | PG Springfield Commonwealth | 2022 State NLG all the way down to #196 for upstate point guard Liam Duggar.
As complex analysis on every player gets ready to be released, as well as New York’s 2023 rankings, one can only feel excited for the state of New York basketball.
