Kramer didn’t put up big numbers as a sophomore at Johnston, averaging 6.1 points and 3.7 rebounds, but he put together a really strong 16U summer and has rocketed up the rankings as a result. A long, 6-6 wing, Krmaer can defend multiple positions and is a skilled playmaker with the ability to score from all three levels. His size, length and talent have him receiving some Power Five interest.
DaVares Whitaker DaVares Whitaker 6'0" | PG Sioux City East | 2022 IA | PG | Sioux City East | UNR to 6
A hyper-athletic 6-0 guard, Whitaker joins the rankings following his move to Sioux City from Arkansas. He holds an offer from Cleveland State and is an explosive, playmaking guard who can get to the rim at will. He should thrive in East’s up-tempo system, and is a player we’re looking forward to seeing live this winter.
Jevin Sullivan Jevin Sullivan 6'5" | SG North Polk | 2022 State IA | SG | North Polk | 12 to 10
Sullivan continues to rise up the rankings, and he just keeps growing. The 6-5 wing is long and is an outstanding scorer from all three levels. His handle has continued to improve, and he can get to the rim and finish with either hand at the bucket, using his size to finish through contact. He’s a great shooter as well. He currently holds an NAIA offer from William Penn, but expect to see more interest and offers coming his way before too long.
Jaxson Young Jaxson Young 6'0" | SG Linn-Mar | 2022 State IA | SG | Linn-Mar | 69 to 15
Young hasn’t played a varsity minute for the Lions yet, but he skyrocketed up the rankings as well following a strong summer with the Barnstormers. A skilled scoring guard, Young has the ability to get to the bucket at will, and he’s also a good shooter. He utilizes a quick first step and good ball handling to get to the bucket.
Adam Mattes Adam Mattes 6'3" | SG Newton | 2022 State IA | SG | Newton | 42 to 23
A tremendous shooter with good size at 6-3, Mattes has a smooth stroke out beyond the college line and a repeatable release on his shot. He’s also willing to take smaller defenders down on the block for buckets. With the departure of Noah Allen Noah Allen 5'11" | PG Pella | 2022 State IA , Mattes should get a lot of opportunities to score this year, and should put up some big numbers as a result.
Parker Elder Parker Elder 6'4" | SF Pella | 2022 State IA | SF | Pella | 36 to 25
Elder is a long, 6-4 wing who is a fantastic athlete. Athleticism has never been a question with him, but he’s starting to put his skill set together as well, which is the reason for the move up the rankings. He’s at his best in transition, attacking the bucket, but his halfcourt skills are coming along nicely as well.
Vance Katzfey Vance Katzfey 6'3" | SG Spirit Lake | 2022 State IA | SG | Spirit Lake | 41 to 27
A versatile scoring threat who gets the job done at all three levels, Katzfey has good size and is extremely efficient.
Noah Allen Noah Allen 5'11" | PG Pella | 2022 State IA | PG | Pella | 45 to 35
Allen transferred from Newton to Pella during the offseason, and he should thrive in the Dutch’s up-tempo style of play. A shifty lead guard who handles the ball well, he’s an excellent shooter, especially off the dribble. Allen had a big summer with Beyond Ball. Look for him to have the green light with Pella, and he should put up some big scoring numbers for them this season.
Cameron Fens Cameron Fens 7'0" | C Hempstead | 2022 State IA | C | Hempstead | UNR to 41
Fens has a long ways to go, but is brimming with potential. The 6-10 big man has outstanding size and should be a key piece fo the Mustangs this winter.
Keeon Hutton Keeon Hutton 6'3" | SG Sioux City West | 2022 KS | SG | Sioux City East | 89 to 50
Hutton moves well without the ball in his hands, is a gifted shooter and a willing passer. A solid all-around player who keeps getting better, and is probably going to continue to move up the rankings as we see more of him.
Kasen Bailey Kasen Bailey 6'3" | SG Washington | 2022 State IA | SG | Washington | 72 to 51
A high IQ player who makes an impact on both ends of the floor, Bailey has good length and is an excellent shooter from deep. He put together a solid summer with the Barnstormers, showcasing some impressive athleticism as well.
