The league was coordinated by Joe Kirschner and a few other members of the western PA location. Being able to provide the kids with a place to play, even though outdoors, allowed the athletes to showcase their talents in a different environment. The league known as “We Got Next” attracted talent from western PA, as well as surrounding locations. “We Got Next” developed into a highly competitive league for five weeks with a variety of small college coaches attending regularly. The administrators and organizers of the Fall League promoted their athletes consistently through social media, which was a nice touch to an outdoor league of its kind. After having spent time following the “We Got Next” League, I have included in this article a few standouts from the outdoor competition, as well as a few underrated players who rose to the occasion. With these athletes performing at a high level outdoors, I can only imagine how they will display their talents on an indoor court this upcoming high school season.
