Grant Asman Grant Asman 6'11" | PF Kimberly | 2021 State WI – Power Forward – Kimberly
We’ve been touting Asman since after his freshman year and now he’s really starting to put all the pieces together. The 6-foot-8 forward picked up his first Division 1 scholarship offers from Army and St. Thomas. A skilled big man who can put the ball on the deck, shoot it from deep and mid-range, and still has plenty of filling out left to do in his body, Asman looks more and more like a mismatch nightmare each day. Coming off a season in which he averaged 9.5 points per game, bigger things are ahead of Asman this winter.
Victor Desmond Victor Desmond 6'6" | SF Onalaska | 2021 State WI – Small Forward – Onalaska
Not sure what Division 2 schools are waiting on here. Desmond has a Division 1 body and athleticism. He’s also a late bloomer that’s just now scratching the surface of his potential. A legit 6-foot-6 slashing wing, Desmond has developed a smooth mid-range game as well. Desmond averaged 6.8 points per game as a junior on one of the state’s top teams last season. He’ll arguably be the guy on this list that improves his numbers the most.
Ronald Kirk Ronald Kirk 6'4" | SF Dominican | 2021 State WI – Small Forward – Dominican
Think Kirk is in store for a nice senior season for Jim Gosz. Last season, Kirk averaged 11.0 points per game on a very talented Dominican squad. The Knights will be looking for a new go-to player and that very well could be Kirk. The 6-foot-4 wing had a very nice off-season and has built a terrific frame. A plus-athlete who can slash, play above the rim, and outwork people with his motor, Kirk generates a lot of easy offense. He also has the athleticism, strength, and intangibles to be an impact defender as well.
Joe Reuter Joe Reuter 6'4" | SG Chippewa Falls | 2021 State WI – Wing – Chippewa Falls
Reuter really opened a lot of eyes over the summer and holds a few Division 2 offers. Helping replace Peyton Rodgers-Schmidt, Reuter is likely going to have free reign offensively. A sweet-shooting wing who can spot-up, catch and shoot off screens, and hit from anywhere on the floor, Reuter has one of the purest strokes in the state. What college coaches will also appreciate — his will to rebound the ball. Reuter isn’t a guy who stands and watches and waits for his teammates to get possession so he can score. Reuter attacks the glass, specifically offensively and is good for a handful of second-chance points each game.
Jaquins Rhodes – Point Guard – West Allis Central
Rhodes averaged 11.8 points and nearly four assists per game last season. A speedy and shifty floor general who can take over a game, Rhodes is one of the best point guards in the state that people aren’t talking about. He might be a flashy, uptempo guard, but Rhodes plays a relatively clean game and limits turnovers. The 5-foot-8 senior can absolutely go with the basketball. Give him a lead, he’ll milk it by pulling people away from the rim, forcing them to pick up near the half court line, and just blowing by defenders all the way to the rim.
