Tre’Vion Gordon Tre’Vion Gordon 6'2" | SG Kenosha Bradford | 2021 WI (6’2 2021 G, Kenosha Bradford)- A deep sleeper in the 2021 class, Tre looks ready for a breakout senior season after struggling through an injury his junior season. Gordon looked a bit more explosive than I had seen out of him before, attacking the rim with aggression and exploding to finish with a couple of dunks as well as crafty finishes hanging in the air. Tre excelled at poking balls free and then taking off in the open floor to get transition buckets, but was also able to attack from the wing and get to the rim off the dribble. With Bradford graduating a lot of talent, there’s opportunity for Tre to step up, and based on what we saw Sunday, he looks ready to do so.
Trey Cardona (5’10 2021 PG, Kenosha Tremper)- After exploding for 25 and 29 points in Tremper’s last two games, having them within one win of the state tournament before the season was prematurely canceled, Trey is another player who looks ready to step into a bigger role as a senior. He looked lightning quick on Sunday, with a shifty handle that was nearly impossible for his defender to stay in front of. Despite his smaller size he had some tough finishes around the rim, either fighting through contact or finishing acrobatically around length. Cardona showed off with some flashy passes as well, and scored the game winner for Tremper against Indian Trails.
Bradley Bell Bradley Bell 6'6" | PF Westosha Central | 2022 WI (6’7 2022 PF/C, Westosha Central)- With Westosha Central missing most of their returning players due to the football season, Bradley Bell Bradley Bell 6'6" | PF Westosha Central | 2022 WI was one of the only players on the floor with varsity experience for Central. Though he didn’t put up huge scoring numbers, I liked what I saw out of Bradley defensively. He moves his feet very well on the perimeter for a player of his size, able to step out and guard smaller forwards. Once in the paint, he showed great timing to elevate and block shots, and altered many more looks. Bell also showed soft hands to catch in the paint and finish around the rim.
Trey Jenkins Trey Jenkins 6'5" | SG Bradford | 2021 State WI (6’4 2021 SG, Kenosha Bradford)- Despite graduating so much talent from last season’s 9-5 conference team, Trey Jenkins Trey Jenkins 6'5" | SG Bradford | 2021 State WI ‘ return from prep school gives Bradford a loaded group of guards this season that should remain competitive in the SEC. At 6’4 with long arms, Trey has the length to play the 2 at the scholarship level. In the two games I watched on Sunday, he looked dangerous creating his own shot off the dribble, while not having to play around with the ball too much. His step-back moves cover a lot of ground, and he’s very accurate hitting the three off the bounce. He also finished well around the rim, and showcased his athleticism with an open floor dunk.
Spencer Pocius (6′ 2021 G, Kenosha Indian Trails)- One of the biggest surprises from Sunday, Spencer Pocius put together a nice performance against Kenosha Tremper. He has a strong build at 6′, with some nice quickness that allowed him to blow by his man and get into the paint. Once around the rim Spencer had a real crafty finishing package that allowed him to go up and score through surrounding length. He scored 7.1 a game last season, and should form a solid backcourt with Ezra Stargell Ezra Stargell 6'1" | PG Kenosha Indian Trail | 2021 State WI .
Will Starks Will Starks 6'4" | SF Kenosha Tremper | 2023 State WI s (6’4 2023 SF, Kenosha Tremper)- After blowing up this summer with World Hoops Elite , Will took his strong play into fall league with Tremper. Will plays a lot bigger than his size, as he’s a relentless rebounder who swallows up every ball that comes near him off the rim. That effort led to some second chance points, and he also did well receiving dump off passes and powering through contact to score. Add in some strong drives and fast break points, and it was another strong showing from the sophomore.
Jamisen Young Jamisen Young 6'0" | PG Sunrise Christian Academy | 2023 KS (5’11 2023 PG, Kenosha Bradford)- Another major stock riser from the summer, Jamisen looks ready to make an impact at the varsity level. Though he’s a bit on the smaller size, Jamisen is as quick as they come and was a force in the open floor for Bradford. He was able to push the tempo off the dribble, but also had the vision to throw the ball ahead for some easy scores for his teamates. Defensively he has quick hands that created some turnovers, and offensively he showcased advanced passing vision in the halfcourt. He also looked comfortable hitting threes off the catch, and got to the rim for some tough finishes.
