The high school basketball season in West Virginia is right around the corner. At the end of each season the Bill Evans Award is given to the person chosen as the best high school boys basketball player in the state of West Virginia. The award winner is selected by members of the West Virginia Sports Writers Association. The award has been given annually since 1970. Let’s take a look at some of the guys who are going to be in the running for the Evans Award this upcoming season.

McKneely finished his sophomore year averaging 22 points per game. He has a smooth and consistent jumper with textbook balance, whether he’s pulling up, spotting up or shooting off movement. This class of 2022 prospect is on the top of many high majors want lists. He currently holds 18 division I offers and is ranked as a Top 10 SG in the country for his class.
