During the fall, I will be continuing in my “Starting Five” series with a look at players in a variety of different categories. Today, we have a look at my Class of 2021 left-handed Starting Five.

PG- Xavier SykesXavierSykes5'10" | PGRock Bridge | 2021StateMO 5’9 Rock Bridge: An electric point guard who can score from all three levels and creat offense from virtually anywhere in the court. He also emerged as a playmaking threat with his passing. As a junior, he averaged 17 points in leading the Bruins to the Class 5 state quarterfinals. 

Wing- Demarion Shanklin 6’2 Jennings: A talented bucket-getter who can create his own shot of the dribble and score at all three levels. He’s has solid quickness fluid in his movements, yet he is always under control. He averaged 18 points a game as a junior.

Wing- Nick RoperNickRoper6'7" | SFMICDS | 2021StateMO 6’7 MICDS: A long and lean southpaw sniper with excellent 3-point shooting range. He handles the ball well and plays without the basketball very effectively. He can also knock down a mid-range jumper and attack the rim.

Forward- Henry Shannon Ill  6’6 Pattonville: A newcomer who moved in from Minnesota who showed well during the month of July.
