Blake Peters Blake Peters 6'1" | SG Evanston | 2021 State IL (Evanston – 2021)
Peters was outstanding once again. The Princeton commit has elevated his all-around game during the last six months and it continues to be shown each time out. Always known as an elite shooter he definitely does that. Lights out off the catch, but his ability to create his own clean looks with shifty ball handling has taken that part of his game to new heights. Had a couple times where he went in between his legs and rose up over a defender for a triple. The way he works around ball screens and his overall passing has made major strides. Was excellent distributing playing on the ball quite a bit. He threw several one handed dimes with his off hand on a live dribble. Another dominant performance!
Garrett Burdin (Rochelle – 2021)
Burdin is probably the biggest stock riser to emerge from these Details Training workouts. The Rochelle two guard has been spectacular shooting it from beyond the arc. Drilled three after three all weekend long. He has a free and easy release with quick mechanics. Tough kid that plays with a competitive spirit. Also mixes in some creative finishes and flashy passing on occasion, but his calling card is definitely his shooting.
Evan Ambrose Evan Ambrose 5'10" | PG Stevenson | 2021 State IL (Stevenson – 2021)
Loved the way Amrbose performed! The Stevenson guard is severely under recruited as he should be getting significant D3 and NAIA interest. He is small, but Ambrose brings such creativity and playmaking to the point guard position. Shifty ball handler that has it on a string. Changes gears in the blink of an eye and accelerates through holes in the defense. Really good passing feel that understands the game and makes sound decisions with the rock. Capable three point shooter and likes to pull up from mid-range as well.
Ben Randall (Hersey – 2021)
Randall is a good sized wing that was effective scoring from all three levels. His athleticism shined through with several explosive finishes above the rim. He was good at taking his man off the bounce on straight line drives for scores. Acrobatic finishes at the cup through traffic including reverse layups and using short shot fakes. Drilled several threes in the games we saw showing a solid stroke. D2s should monitor him.
Nick Pierre (Round Lake – 2021)
Pierre is a strong bodied wing that has long arms. Strength helps him score in the open floor at the cup, but his growth as a shooter continues to impress as he knocked down several from beyond the arc.
Jared Person (Maine West – 2021)
Pearson is a strong bodied combo guard with a good all-around game. He is a capable shooter from both mid-range and three.
Andrew Wagner (Hersey – 2021)
This point guard was active on the defensive end getting steals and then turning them into points on the other end. Sound three point shooter with really nice mechanics. Effective passer as well.
Bryce Moore Bryce Moore 6'5" | PG Carmel | 2022 State IL (Carmel – 2022)
Moore is a long and rangy guard that brings athleticism on both ends of the floor. Did his damage scoring in the paint and on tip ins.
Jackson Antonow (Francis Parker – 2022)
This Francis Parker guard burst on our radar with a strong outing. The two guard is a crafty driver who had several nifty layups off the bounce. Quality runner game. Sound three point shooter that got on a roll from deep in one of the games. Solid defender.
Caleb Choe (Conant – 2022)
This small guard from Conant hit a couple threes in the games we saw. Quiet overall showing, but is one to watch down the line.
Evan Porto Evan Porto 6'2" | PG Stevenson | 2022 State IL (Stevenson – 2022)
Porto has elevated his stock during these workouts. The Stevenson guard is a crisp ball handler that gets in the lane for layups and floaters. Solid passer in ball screen situations and is an active defender.
David Gieser David Gieser 6'3" | SG Evanston | 2022 State IL (Fenwick – 2022)
Once again the Fenwick two guard stood out with his ability to knock down shots from beyond the arc. Also used his toughness for a couple scores on post ups.
Chase Bonder Chase Bonder 6'6" | PF Libertyville | 2022 State IL (Libertyville – 2022)
Bonder is a power forward that rebounds well in his area, runs the floor, and has touch around the hoop.
Sherod Dent Jr. Sherod Dent Jr. 6'6" | PF Chicago Curie | 2023 State IL (Providence St. Mel – 2023)
Dent is an intriguing combo forward with his strong frame, athleticism, and upside as a young prospect. Once again hung out quite a bit on the perimeter. Hit a couple of triples, but can be a factor when he crashes the offensive glass and uses his quickness inside.
Cole Bonder (Libertyville – 2023)
Bonder is a young power forward that was crafty around the hoop on his post scores. Finished dump offs and worked well in the pick/roll game. The lefty has some touch on a mid-range shot as well.
Alex Engro Alex Engro 6'2" | SG Loyola Academy | 2023 State IL (Loyola – 2023)
This combo guard continues to intrigue with his length and athleticism at the guard spot. Plus shooter that drilled multiple triples in each game we saw.
Nate Kwiecinski Nate Kwiecinski 6'7" | SF Cushing Academy | 2024 State NLG (Loyola – 2023)
The skilled power forward from Loyola put it on the deck several times for scores from the high-post. Put his head down and got to the basket. Runs the floor well in transition.
Dennis Estepp (Grayslake Central – 2023)
The Grayslake Central two guard opened eyes with his three point shooting off movement. Quick transition from catch to shot. Worked well on the baseline with jumpers and taking it in for scoop shots. Active hands on the defensive end.
