Below is a list of prospects who played well during Week 4 action in the Competitive Edge High School Fall League.
Cole Hargrove Cole Hargrove 6'8" | SF Methacton | 2022 State PA – 6’4” / Junior / Methacton / Forward: Hargrove was a key reserve off the Methacton bench last season and on Saturday you could see why the college coaches like him a lot. He is very long and athletic shot blocker who can run rim to rim. The mechanics on his 3-point shot look solid and with some work, the 3-ball could become a consistent weapon for him.
Khalil Henson – 5’10’’ / Senior / Ridley / Point Guard: A crafty and physical guard, Henson used his slick handles to create scoring opportunities for himself at the rim and in the mid –range. Henson also showed a lot of guts and fight, as he posted 13 second half points and kept Ridley’s loss to Radnor (PA) respectable.
Anquan Hill Anquan Hill 6'8" | PF Archbishop Carroll | 2021 State PA – 6’5’’ / Senior / Archbishop Carroll / Forward: A long and lean athlete with hops, Hill is a shot blocking machine. He has shown the ability to protect the rim in the half-court or via the chase down block. At the other end, he owns the offensive glass and can finish over defenders with authority. Lastly, a decent jump shot is part of his skill set. Holds offers from a number of schools including Saint Joe’s and Drexel.
Jason Price – 6’3” / Senior / Souderton / Point-Forward: After posting a breakout season in 2019-20, Price appears ready to take things to the next level this winter. Everyone knows Price can score the basketball at all 3 levels, but this past Saturday, his great court vision, handles and ability to slash / cut without the basketball were on full display. He also did a nice job of finishing with either hand.
Jack McDermott – 5’10’’ / Senior / Holy Ghost Prep / Combo-Guard: McDermott was an Honorable Mention All-Bicentennial League player last season, and in 2020-21 he will be expected to have a major impact for HGP. From the looks of his game this past weekend, he seems ready to step into that role. McDermott is a skilled floor general who can rain threes when needed. His on-ball defense was a major a positive note as well.
Ryan Riotto – 5’11” / Senior / Bishop Shanahan / Combo Guard: Riotto is excellent at slicing through the passing lanes for steals and then pushing the ball down the floor for easy buckets. Showed a very nice jumper with range out to the 3-point line and ability to handle the rock under pressure. The 2019-20 Honorable Mention All-Chest-Mont player will be expected to carry a heavy load for Shanahan this coming season.
