K.J Lewis 6’4 SF JB White 2023 (#8PHTX) – Yes I realize that Lewis played in the Prep Kick-Off and was featured as one of the top players from that event. However, the high motor extra effort guy was simply too good to ignore. Lewis was relentless and showed terrific second jump ability allowing him to corral rebounds over much larger players. With his frame and his transition finishing ability, it’s easy to see why he’s one of the top young prospects in the lone star state.
Luke Turner Luke Turner 6'8" | SG Santa Margarita Catholic | 2021 State CA-S 6’7 SF Rancho Christian 2021 (#21PHSC 2021) – Turner is a versatile scorer that showed he can do it on both ends of the floor. He guarded several perimeter players and battled with his share of bigs. Offensively he showed great patience when he caught it on the block and good quickness when releasing his 3 point shots.
Chris Dockery Chris Dockery 6'5" | SF Bonanza | 2021 CA-S 6’6 SF Middlebrooks 2021 – Dockery is coming and everyone should be put on notice about the talents of the wing. Fully recovered from his leg injury a year ago, the 6’6 wing looked bouncy and explosive finishing around the rim. His length made him one of the more versatile defenders at the event.
Calvin Schmeling 6’5 SG Clark 2021 – Schmeling really impressed. He showed the ability to knock down shots in catch and shoot situations, as well as put the ball on the floor and attack the paint. Like Dockery, his length and athleticism made him one of the more versatile defensive players at the event.
Isaac Hymes Isaac Hymes 6'9" | PF Phhoenix Prep | 2023 State AZ 6’7 SF Millineum 2023 (#9PHA 2023) (featured image) – Hymes is an intriguing young prospect that loves to play on the perimeter. Although one of the taller players in most of the games he played in, he is most comfortable facing the basket and shooting 3’s. An underrated ballhandler, Hymes showed the ability to put the ball on the floor against pressure and when driving to the basket.
Trace Ross 6’3 SG Corner Canyon 2021 (#20PHU 2021) – Ross will always be on my all bring it, team. The confident wing always seems to play well when I’m in the building. This weekend was no different as he showed his strap with his 3 point shooting, his playmaking with his passing, and his ability to finish in transition. He was a big part of helping CC to the title of the Nevada Bracket.
