The players went to six different drill stations and then each team played three games. I was lucky enough to work the camp and while that gives me the chance to work closely with so many talented players, which I love, but I am not able to see all the players play that attended though I still got to see tons of great players. With that in mind, here is Steve’s Super Seven Standouts from the class of 2022 at the camp that I got to see play.
Jack Karasinski Jack Karasinski 6'5" | SF Grand Rapids Catholic Central | 2022 State MI 6’6 Grand Rapids Catholic Central-Jumping Jack, nickname pending, or JJ if you’re being lazy, is going to get those high major D1 offers sooner rather than later. Great athlete and can shoot the ball with the best of them as well. Was in the top wing group at camp and played well and had plenty of great plays during the games as well. Should have a phenomenally successful high school season.
Kyler Vanderjagt Kyler Vanderjagt 6'4" | 195 lbs | SF Northview | 2022 State MI 6’4 Northview-Kyler is another wing from that top wing group who is also a top ten player in the class of 2022 here in Michigan. He handles the ball well and can score at all three levels. He will only continue to get more attention from division one colleges as the next two years plays out.
Tamario Adley Tamario Adley 6'0" | SG De La Salle | 2022 State MI 6’2 Chandler Park-A strong combo guard who had a great day at the camp in both drills and games. He handled the ball well and got to the basket and finished through contact. Was also a great on the ball defender in games and showed he is a two-way player.
Jay Wallace 6’4 Williamston-Great to see Jay back on the court playing basketball at a high level. He is long and a knock down shooter who can also handle the ball and get to the basket and finish in the lane as well. It was great having that top wing group at my station doing 2on2 ball screens and letting them get after each other and improve.
DeMario Brown 6’3 University Prep-Super long, and a great athlete. Strong takes to the basket and showed the ability to defend multiple positions. Showed he can shoot the ball too from the outside.
Aaron Allen 5’11 Hamtramck-Strong and tough lead guard who does a great job leading the team on both ends of the floor. Defended well and did a great job talking on both ends of the floor. He handles the ball well and can get to the basket and shoot it a bit from the outside.
Nate Childers Nate Childers 6'2" | CG Benzie Central | 2022 State MI 6’1 Benzie Central-Another strong lead guard who attacked the basket well and shoot it well from the outside. He defended well and have a very productive day in both drills and games.
