Name | High School | Height | Grassroots Team | Notes |
Christian Spalding Christian Spalding 6'4" | PG Evangel Christian | 2022 State KY | Eastern | 6’1 | Manimal Elite | A heady floor general, Spalding is going to be expected to run the team at Eastern this season and could solidify himself as the top Junior in Louisville with a good year. |
Jordan Akal Jordan Akal 6'1" | PG Harlan | 2022 State KY | Harlan | 6’0 | One of the best pure scorers in Kentucky, Akal has become even bigger and more athletic in the last year and is a no doubt D1 guard.
Turner Buttry Turner Buttry 5'11" | PG Bowling Green | 2022 State KY | Bowling Green | 5’10 | Manimal Elite | Armed with a high basketball IQ and the ability to knock down shots from all over the court, Buttry is one of the most consistent players in the class. |
Jaxon Smith Jaxon Smith 6'2" | PG Lincoln County | 2022 State KY | Lincoln County | 6’0 | Jaxon can be electric one game and average the next. Once he gets more consistent from one game to the next, he should have several college offers coming his way.
Miles Franklin Miles Franklin 6'2" | PG Ballard | 2023 State KY | Trinity | 6’2 | Griffin Elite | After missing chunks of the last two high school seasons with injury, Franklin is back and working his way back to being a top player in the class. |
Darien Lewis Darien Lewis 6'1" | PG Fern Creek | 2022 State KY | Fern Creek | 5’11 | Griffin Elite | Shifty and a great finisher, Lewis plays hard on both ends of the floor. His ballhandling can get a little loose but he will make up for any turnovers by sprinting to get back. A very solid guard. |
Aden Slone Aden Slone 5'9" | PG George Rogers Clark | 2022 State KY | George Rogers Clark | 5’9 | Starz United | An excellent passer who excels in the open court, Slone is a talented lead guard. His transfer to GRC should be interesting as he’ll likely play off the ball some and be counted on to make shots. |
Brian Griffith Brian Griffith 5'9" | PG Owensboro Catholic | 2023 State KY | Owensboro Catholic | 5’9 | Hoop Dreams | Another shifty point, he can kick it into high gear and really push the pace on offense. A bit of a volume shooter, Griffith can play solid on ball defense and create his own offense. |
Danye Frazier Danye Frazier 6'1" | PG Madisonville-North Hopkins | 2023 State KY | Madisonville-North Hopkins | 5’11 | Madisonville Elite | After waiting two years for his turn, Frazier should get to play with the ball in his hands most of the time for the next two years. New coach Jon Newton will rely on Danye to run his team. |
Brady Dingess Brady Dingess 5'11" | PG Martin County | 2022 State KY | Martin County | 5’11 | Big Shots (WV) | Dingess remains a bit of a mystery as he puts up big numbers against mountain teams but had very mixed results against non-mountain competition at the KOB and Traditional Bank Classic last season. |
