Bryce Andrews Bryce Andrews 6'1" | CG Weld Central | 2022 State CO – Weld Central
Andrews was a small school standout who was Weld Central’s best player in only his sophomore season and is poised for a huge junior year. As a sophomore, he made the Colorado 8 All-League after putting up 14.7 points and a team-high 7.3 boards a game. Andrews is a relentless rebounder who is a bit undersized as a big, but with his ability to crash the boards, box out, and secure essentially every rebound that comes his way, it provides a big man presence. Andrews scores in bunches as he establishes the inside position, grabs boards, and goes right back up. He is a player that Weld Central feels confident in running through, and if he can put up another big season, he is a player that will surely rise.
Will Tenore Will Tenore 6'4" | PF Mead | 2022 State CO – Mead
Tenore is a player that certainly stands out for me as he is one of the state’s best role players. He does not have to score a point for him to impact the game. He rebounds extremely well, rotates the ball and sets screens, and also is an elite defender that plays with contagious energy. Tenore is an instinctual player that has a good feel for the game. He is physical and does all of the small things that a team needs. He will certainly have to improve as a scorer as he will have to be the forward relief for a talented Mead team this upcoming year and is a player that is going to do all that is asked of him. He makes the rankings list for the first time.
Kuchdhal Kojiza Kuchdhal Kojiza 6'7" | C Denver South | 2022 State CO – Denver South
Kojiza is a player with size, and from what we saw this summer with the Colorado Miners can be an impactful player for Denver South this year. South is a team that has not been lacking in size, and at 6’6, he will be their big man option. He runs the floor, has a back to the basket game, and has soft touch around the rim. On defense, he protects the paint as he uses his length, and if they use him in PnR situations, it will open up the floor for teammates. He still has plenty to work on and prove this year but will be one of the big men to watch in the Denver Prep League.
Rhys Travis Rhys Travis 6'4" | PF Poudre | 2022 State CO – Poudre
Poudre was one of the youngest teams in the conference last season and really struggled. Now with another year, they will look to advance. One of their few bright spots was Travis. Their sophomore wing/forward. Travis put up 11.0 points and four and a half boards a game. He saw double teams, traps, and different looks all season long and still produced. He is now tasked with leading that young team to a winning season and getting back on the right track. Poudre progressed as the season went along, and in games that Travis played well, Poudre was at their best. He ended the season with a 26-point performance against Broomfield and showed that when locked in, he could take over in games. He can play both inside and out and will be a player to watch this season.
Trevea Bolden Trevea Bolden 6'7" | C FNE Warriors | 2022 State CO – FNE Warriors
Bolden was one of the young standouts for the Warriors last season and was also the teams leading rebounder. The 6’7 big man put up 6.6 points and 5.0 rebounds a game and used his length to give his team extra scoring opportunities while also eliminating the opposing team’s chances. He is a mobile big man who finishes well around the basket, can step out and defend guards, and is not easily moved on the block. Bolden is an athletic big man with size that is a bit raw, but when it all comes together will be able to dominate the Denver Prep League. Big year for him.
