No. 77 Sam Perez Sam Perez 6'7" | PF Trinity Academy (Raleigh) | 2022 State NC – 6’8 Wing/Forward – Trinity Academy (Raleigh)
Perez is due for a breakout year in the Trinity Academy rotation after transferring and reclassing this past summer. He was a key piece in the Middle Creek rotation in 2019-20 where he excelled as an inside-out threat. His game has grown over the past few months and he’s gotten a lot more aggressive attacking the rim. Look for his recruitment to pick up with an offer already from Campbell.
No. 83 Trey Ramsey Trey Ramsey 6'8" | PF West Caldwell | 2022 State NC – 6’8 Forward – South Caldwell
Ramsey is a face that I saw late in the grassroots season with the Carolina Riptide but he’s a solid forward prospect that’s coming into his own at 6-foot-8. He’s a versatile prospect that can handle on the wing and make plays for others as well as get to the paint and finish above the rim. As he learns to use his length more and grows into his body, look out!
No. 86 Tristin Harkins Tristin Harkins 6'2" | PG Pine Forest | 2022 State NC – 6’2 Guard – Pine Forest
Harkins is a prospect that’s got quite the budding skill set at 6-foot-2. He can shoot it on all three levels and has some underrated athleticism in his wheelhouse that he uses to finish above the rim and block shots. He’s coming along nicely as a solid option in the Pine Forest rotation alongside Isaiah Washington Isaiah Washington 6'5" | SG Winston-Salem Christian | 2024 State NC and Jordan Jones Jordan Jones 6'6" | SG Pine Forest | 2023 NC .
No. 96 Sam Cogan Sam Cogan 6'3" | SG Northside Christian | 2022 State NC – 6’3 Shooting Guard – Lincoln Charter
Cogan is a sharpshooter that had a deep run in last year’s NCHSAA State Playoffs. While he’s listed as a shooting guard, he does more than just knock it down from deep, given he averaged 8.0 rpg, 2.8 apg and 1.5 spg alongside 18.5 ppg. He’s an athletic shooter that should have a strong 2020-21 season at Lincoln Charter.
No. 99 Isaiah Tate Isaiah Tate 6'0" | PG Concord Academy | 2023 State NC – 5’11 Guard – Kings Mountain
Tate is an electric guard that keeps coming at you whether shooting the 3-ball and getting to the paint and finishing in traffic. He was a familiar face on the grassroots stage this summer with PSB Elite, showing off his ability to run the show and score the basketball with consistency. He’ll be a growing name after being a well-known name in the Kings Mountain area.
