The upcoming season is huge for rising seniors as they try to improve their stocks before entering college. The Jersey Shore Predators’ prospects are in the same boat and are ready for a strong final varsity season. Here are the Jersey Shore Predators capable of having big senior seasons.
Connor Walsh Connor Walsh 6'5" | SF Manasquan | 2021 State NJ , 6’5 SF Manasquan
The Warriors were one of the top teams in New Jersey last year as they won a state-high 31 games and took home the Central Jersey Group 2 title. Walsh provided the team with great energy as he was diving on the floor for loose balls all season. The 6’5 forward has a nice touch around the basket and is unafraid of drawing contact. Walsh is a strong rebounder and uses his athleticism to make plays on the defensive end. Manasquan will the team to beat in the Shore Conference and Walsh is ready to have a bigger role on offense.
Frank DiNatale Frank DiNatale 6'2" | SG St. Rose | 2021 State NJ , 6’1 SG St. Rose
The Purple Roses lose NYU signee John Beattie John Beattie 6'3" | SG St. Rose | 2020 State NJ , but they should still be in good shape with DiNatale coming back. The 6’1 guard has a good handle and can beat his defender off the bounce. DiNatale is a nice finisher around the basket, but can also knock down perimeter jumpers. He is a good passer and knows how to move his feet on the defensive end. DiNatale is a tough guard prospect who could lead St. Rose in scoring in 2020-21.
A.J. Po A.J. Po 6'3" | SF Monmouth Regional | 2021 State NJ , 6’3 SF Monmouth Regional
Monmouth Regional had a tough 2019-20 season, but it should have a better year with Po returning. The 6’3 wing can handle the ball on the perimeter and knows how to get to the basket. Po plays with toughness around the basket as he is unafraid of finishing through contact. He fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor and is a good post defender. Po is a breakout prospect to watch in the Shore Conference for Monmouth Regional this season.
Chris Frontera, 6’1 SG Manalapan
The Braves had a breakout campaign last season, but they have to replace Ryan Knorr Ryan Knorr 5'10" | PG Manalapan | 2020 State NJ . Frontera will get the opportunity to do so after being the team’s three-point specialist last season. The 6’1 guard has a quick release on his shot and knows how to move off the ball. Frontera has to be more aggressive attacking the basket, which will create more opportunities for him to shoot the ball from distance. Manalapan should be a fun team to watch again in 2020-21 with Frontera getting more touches on the offensive end.
Andrew Solomon, 6’6 PF Manasquan
The second Manasquan player on the list, Solomon will be asked to shoulder a bigger load with the graduation of Alex Galvan Alex Galvan 6'7" | PF Manasquan | 2020 State NJ . The 6’6 forward has a good frame, which gives him the ability to create space for himself in the paint. Solomon has a nice touch around the basket and can draw contact down low. He fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor and knows how to hold his ground on the defensive end. Solomon will get more touches around the basket, which could lead to a strong senior season.
