Dauntrell Dixon Bogan 6’0
Dixon doesn’t pass the eye test as a Bogan guard. But once play started Dixon just couldn’t miss and you could see why the thick bodied player can fit in with the Bengals. Dauntrell plays at his own pace getting to weak spots on the court looking to be as efficient as possible. Most of his three pointers came off of his teammates penetrating and drawing attention. Dixon will be a contributor on the JV team this season as a specialist.
KJ Cobb KJ Cobb 6'0" | SG Perspectives | 2023 State IL Hilcrest 6’0
On Friday Cobb nickname was the “Punishier”. He ran through players on his drives to the rim. KJ is a stocky guard who literally bounces players off of him when driving to the rim. When the lane was plugged Cobb did step outside the arc and made shots. KJ adds depth to the Hillcrest squad.
Xavier Sulaiman Xavier Sulaiman 6'3" | SG Oak Lawn | 2023 State IL Marist 6’3
Sulaiman was able to play in both sessions and in both runs he played above the rim. Uber athletic guard caught lobs and blocked shots at the rim. His game didn’t stop there as he also stepped outside on the perimeter to show his range.
Luke Newhall Payton 6’4
Newhall just played with a continuous motor the whole session. Each time he played he did a little bit of everything on both ends. Luke out hustle guys on the boards consistently giving his team second chance points almost every game he played. On defense he switched and guarded every position. Luke made shots as well. He was like a Swiss army knife on the court. Payton has a good prospect to build upon this upcoming season.
Noah Campbell Willowbrook 5’8
Exciting guard who can score in bunches. Noah was one of the few players who didn’t stand on the perimeter and hoist shots up instead he got to the rim A LOT. Campbell is a score first guard who finishes with and array of flashy layups. Solid vision in traffic finding cutters at the rim. Very intriguing prospect pending on how tall he gets.
Leirre Collier Marist 6’2
Collier was very surprising. He played solid in the class of 2023 runs, but showed out in the 2022 runs. Leirre is a converting combo guard who is working on becoming a lead guard. He and teammate Xavier Sulaiman Xavier Sulaiman 6'3" | SG Oak Lawn | 2023 State IL made a vicious tandem in the second run. Collier made some nice alley oop passes to Xavier reminisce of Wade to LeBron. Collier showed he can score and mixed things up by hitting floaters and mid-range shots. Marist has a great duo for the next 3 years.
