It’s early in their careers and they’re about to start their Sophomore seasons in high school. There is sure to be huge movement up and down the list over the years as we get eyes on more players. We expanded our list to 45 total players in this update. Here are the new guards in the updated 2023 class rankings.

Hayden LlewellynHaydenLlewellyn6'2" | CGCorbin | 2023StateKY, Corbin - A recent transfer from Tennessee who possesses Kentucky roots, Hayden scored 28 points per game for Jellico last season before returning to the 13th region. Look for him to play with the ball in his hands most of the time for Corbin.

George Washington IIIGeorgeWashington III6'2" | PGChristian Academy Louisville | 2023StateKY, Christian Academy of Louisville - A very new transfer to the state who just made the list at the last minute, Washington was the 31st ranked 2023 in a loaded class in Texas. He was named first team all state in the Lone Star State last season and will undoubtedly be one of the top young guards in Louisville moving forward.
