Updated 2022 Rankings Overview
Here’s a broad overview of our updated class of 2022 rankings, taking a look at some of the trends we’ve seen so far. Stay tuned for the updated 2023 class rankings which will be published tomorrow.
CHANGES IN THE TOP-10
Cameron Whitmore Cameron Whitmore 6'7" | PF Archbishop Spalding | 2022 State #30 Nation MD has seized the top overall spot after an incredible run of play during these past several weeks with Team Melo. West Nottingham standout Yann Farrell, a bonafide high major prospect who has somehow flown under-the-radar, cracks the top-five for the first time. Summer stock risers Devin Dinkins Devin Dinkins 5'10" | PG Gonzaga | 2022 State MD , Christian Watson Christian Watson 6'6" | SF St. John's | 2022 State #121 Nation MD , and Noah Batchelor Noah Batchelor 6'6" | SF IMG Academy | 2022 State #184 Nation FL are the other newcomers in the updated top-10.
FIVE STOCK RISERS
#21 | MASAI TROUTMAN | 6’4 SF | ST. ANDREW’S | PREVIOUS RANK: 59
Troutman is a top-notch athlete who showed a lot of promise this summer during which he played well overall. He’s a solid long-term prospect who still has room to grow.
#22 | DEON PERRY | 5’8 PG | MT. CARMEL | PREVIOUS RANK: 33
Perry is a reliable floor general who can run a team efficiently and knows how to win. On-ball defense is one of his strengths and he certainly sets the tone on that end.
#23 | JORDAN NKOA-ABESSOLO | 6’4 SF | ST. MARIA GORETTI | PREVIOUS RANK: 66
A hidden gem up in Hagerstown, Nkoa-Abessolo quietly put together a solid junior year. Expect him to continue to build off the momentum he’s created.
#25 | ROB LAWSON | 5’9 PG | ARCHBISHOP CARROLL | PREVIOUS RANK: 78
Lawson’s overall game is maturing and it’s a fun sight to see. He’s always been a menace on defense and an elite athlete, but his improved ability to consistently elevate others around him makes the biggest difference.

Howard stood out this summer not just as a result of his unique combination of size and athleticism, but because of his toughness and versatility. He is a fearless competitor who impacts the game on multiple fronts while demonstrating a good feel for the game.
DIVISION ONE SLEEPERS

Scott shouldn’t be overlooked when considering the talent at Archbishop Spalding. He’s been a consistent producer over the years and can do many things well on the court.
#19 | STEFAN MARCELLE | 6’7 C | GEORGETOWN PREP
Marcelle is becoming an increasingly imposing figure in the lane as he grows into his body. It’s only a matter of time before his recruitment reflects the improvement he continues to make.
#24 | NICHOLAS EVANS | 6’8 C | GONZAGA
Evans is a long and wiry prospect with tremendous defensive potential and a complimentary offensive skill set. He is a late-bloomer who will be a fun watch moving forward.
#27 | DYLAN BRONNER | 6’4 SG | GEORGETOWN DAY
Bronner is an intriguing long-term wing prospect with good size and shot-making prowess. He is trending in the right direction after a breakout year.
#32 | TRAVIS ROBERTS | 6’4 SG | BISHOP WALSH
Roberts is a pure scorer who can be very effective when his shot is falling. His defense has shown signs of improvement, and his stock will only rise as he can continue to progress in that area.
