Updated 2021 Rankings Overview
Here is a broad overview of our updated 2021 rankings, taking a look at some of the trends we’ve seen so far. Stay tuned for new 2022 and 2023 rankings coming out tomorrow and Friday respectively.
CHANGES IN THE TOP-10
Brayon Freeman Brayon Freeman 6'1" | CG National Christian | 2021 State #204 Nation MD ‘s return to the DMV means that he checks into the updated top-10. The GW Commit, who will be attending National Christian after playing at Huntington Prep last season, impressed this summer with New World. Freeman replaces Benny Williams, the former top overall prospect, who is now at IMG.

Harrison capped off a strong summer in style with a standout performance against Team Takeover. He will team up with Brayon Freeman Brayon Freeman 6'1" | CG National Christian | 2021 State #204 Nation MD at NCA to form a formidable backcourt duo.
#20 | BOBBY HILL | 6’5 PF | RESERVOIR | PREVIOUS RANK: 36
Hill, the Howard County Player of the Year, had a productive summer with Team S.T.A.T. With his main selling point being versatility, he is steadily improving over time.
#23 | BYRON IRELAND JR. | 6’2 CG | ST. FRANCES | PREVIOUS RANK: 44
Ireland, who quietly put together a strong junior campaign at St. Frances, is dripping with upside. He put on a show for the folks at DMV Elite this past weekend.
#24 | THOMAS WHITLEY | 6’6 PF | ELEANOR ROOSEVELT | PREVIOUS RANK: 53
Whitley was one of the area’s most consistent performers this summer with District Basketball Club. He is in peak physical condition and is playing his best basketball at the moment.

Woods reinforced his credentials as a scholarship level prospect with a strong run of play this summer. The DMV Sports Academy standout is beginning to see an uptick in his recruitment as a result.
DIVISION ONE SLEEPERS
#22 | JAMAI FELT | 6’8” C | RANDALLSTOWN
If you need a big man in 2021, look no further than Randallstown’s Jamai Felt Jamai Felt 6'8" | C Randallstown | 2021 State MD , who turned heads with Team Choo this summer. The athletic big man is a late bloomer who has quickly made a name for himself.
#26 | NESTOR DYACHOK | 6’8” PF | BISHOP WALSH
Interest is picking up for Dyachok, who is heading into the upcoming season with some positive momentum. After gaining valuable experience during his first year playing ball in the states, the Russian is poised to breakout.
#29 | JALEN BRYANT | 5’11” PG | JOHN CARROLL
If you prioritize winning, Bryant is your man. John Carroll’s reliable lead guard is not concerned about showcasing his talent. Bryant’s game is predicated on doing whatever it takes to win games.
#32 | GARFIELD TURNER | 6’7” C | MT. ZION PREP
Turner is a legitimate division one post prospect who should not be overlooked now that he’s in the 2021 class. Expect him to make a significant impact as he will surely help fortify the frontcourt at Mt. Zion Prep.
#33 | KHYRIE STATEN | 6’2” CG | ST. FRANCES
Staten is a smooth operator who was a key figure this past season at St. Frances. He is a sneaky athlete who plays both guard positions and has a tendency to make big plays at critical moments.
