Julius Rollins Julius Rollins 6'7" | SF Hillcrest | 2021 State IL (Hillcrest)
Current Ranking: #13
The Hillcrest 2021 combo forward brings two way versatility. Can play inside and out. He shot it well from mid-range with smooth pull ups this summer. Rollins was also effective using his length getting steals and taking them the other way for dunks. Smooth ball handler taking it off the bounce from the high-post area. Productive player with upside to get even better.
Jakobi Heady Jakobi Heady 6'8" | SF Hillcrest | 2021 State IL (Hillcrest)
Current Ranking: #14
Projectable wing with size, length, and athleticism. He shot it well from beyond the arc and particularly from the corners this summer spotting up. He has a slow and low release on it, but once he cleans that up he should be good to go. Monster in transition with his long strides and the way he maneuvers at the rim.
Quani Rudd Quani Rudd 6'6" | SF Mt. Vernon | 2021 State IL (Mt. Vernon)
Current Ranking: #15
The Mt. Vernon standout is a wing that has size and athleticism at 6’6”. His athleticism is probably a bit ahead of his skill set, but it is catching up. Rudd showed growth as a shooter during the high school season, but his strength is definitely putting it on the deck and getting to the rim. Finishes with authority off the bounce and in transition. Potential to be a very good defender once he locks in on that end.
Amar Augillard Amar Augillard 6'5" | SF Zion Benton | 2021 FL (Zion Benton)
Current Ranking: #16
This Zion Benton combo forward is an intriguing prospect with how productive he has been throughout his career. He can score both inside and out. Bully ball around the basket and has deep range on his three point shot. Very good rebounder for his size and position. He leaves his will on his opponent each time out!
James Dent James Dent 6'3" | SG Springfield Southeast | 2021 State IL (Springfield Southeast)
Current Ranking: #20
Dent was dominant in several big games for the Illinois Hoopstars group. The Springfield Southeast shooting guard is among the best pure shot makers in the class and that was on full display over the summer! He drilled threes at a very high rate throughout the events he participated in including carrying them in several of those wins. Also came away impressed with his improvement off the bounce scoring on slashes which opens up so much for his team.
Tevin Smith Tevin Smith 6'4" | SF Danville | 2021 State IL (Danville)
Current Ranking: #23
Smith is a wing with size, athleticism, and scoring ability. Injuries are the major concerns of most schools at this point as he has had several over the last couple years. When he is on the floor he is so freaking talented with his pull up jump shot and explosiveness around the hoop. Could be a steal late in the process.
Jaiden Lee Jaiden Lee 6'4" | SG Joliet West | 2021 State IL (Joliet West)
Current Ranking: #26
One of the better shooters in the class was lights out at times this summer. Long and lanky frame with a silky smooth release. Also mixes in straight line takes. Projectable wing with upside.
Walter Mattingly Walter Mattingly 6'6" | SF Deerfield | 2021 State IL (Lake Forest)
Current Ranking: #29
Mattingly has always been an intriguing prospect because of his size at 6’7” and overall skill level. Plus three point shooter off the catch along with a step back game. Good athlete that can take his man off the bounce for nifty finishes at the cup. Presents upside especially once he gets in a college strength program.
Bennie Slater Bennie Slater 6'5" | SF Springfield | 2021 State IL (Springfield)
Current Ranking: #30
Slater works well in the mid-range with his size at 6’5”. The small forward can hit mid-range jumpers for days. He can put it on the deck a little and is an excellent passer. Has some point forward to his game.
Noah Franklin Noah Franklin 6'7" | SF Cobden | 2021 State IL (Cobden)
Current Ranking: #35
The lefty from southern Illinois is a point forward that passes with tremendous flair! He is a fun player to watch because of the way he can thread the needle to his teammates. The 6’6” small forward can stroke it from three off the catch and step in for a one dribble pull up. Has some buzz among college coaches heading into the fall.
