Many of his buckets came in the clutch when his team was down by 10 points with 4 minutes on the clock. He went on to make some really big shots in highly pressurized moments, pushing double-overtime before falling short to Southern Assault’s firepower at the end. The very next day Jones kept the points going by scoring the first 7 points for his team. Mason’s shooting ability really stands out, he seems like a natural shot-maker. Garrett Nuckolls | Shooting Guard | BBSS | 2023 |
6’6, three-point sniper that must be accounted for and guarded with a hand in his face at all times due to the fact that he’s not afraid to pull-up from the volleyball line and knock a shot down. Nuckolls loves the three-ball and shoots it with great confidence, he knows how to consistently get his shot off when he wants even with a hand in his face. He gets his feet set quickly, gets solid elevation, and has a quick, sweet release on his jumper. Garrett showed a knack for getting his man leaning before blowing by them for a quick pull-up jumpshot. A slick ball-handler with crafty ball skills and a killer stepback move that he could use perfectly at any moment, and any spot on the floor when attempting to create the space. It’s early, but I feel comfortable saying that Garrett Nuckolls is going to be a special player, maybe even one of the best shooters in Texas, there aren’t many guys out there his age and size that can do the things that he does on the court. Nuckolls has already begun receiving interest from the likes of Texas Tech, the future is looking bright for this young man.
